You need this info if you are installing the Prime Design Ladder on the driver side rear door of Ford Transit (2018/2019 year models).
The bump stop and magnet on the driver's side was shortened in 2018/2019 as a feature of 180 degree door open. You will need to install the longer bump stop and magnet to keep the Prime Design ladder from hitting the side of the van when opening the rear driver's side door.

Thank you. This video helped me to replace my bumpstop. One suggestion is to highlight where the screws are on the wheelcover. You mention them, but do not indicate where they are. Perhaps drawing circles over the location for ~5 seconds while they are exposed? They are hard to find by feel without knowing where they are... I ended up accidentally breaking off those attachment points because I couldn't find them. Thanks!

So does the cover for the magnet on the door slip off? Unscrew? Do I need to go in from the inside of the door? My magnet is damaged and I’d like to do some work on this van myself instead of getting gouged at a shop.

245/75r16 so slightly bigger than stock. Traction, handling and mileage has been great. Road noise is a bit on the high side.

I'm a total nube. I want to help replace a damaged bumper stop for a vehicle I damaged. What's the name of the tool I'll need to remove those big bolts off the metal bracket? Also is it a special drill bit for removing the Plastic trim? 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Grab a set of torx bits and a trim removal tool (plastic). The stop bracket is held on by bolts and can be removed with a socket, box wrench or crescent wrench.

Hi Tobey, Did you try popping the plastic housing off and grabbing the magnet with some vice grips and turn clockwise...it’s reverse threaded.

@@MTBPlanB Thanks for replying with that tip. I noticed the reverse threading on the replacement after counter-clockwise didn't feel right on the broken one. However, clockwise just keeps turning the broken one. I can't get it out yet.

@@gordonjack1375 No, I got busy with other projects and need to return to this. I intend to take the interior door cover off to see if the bolt welding busted loose by chance.

I ordered for a 2018 Transit to get the longer stops. Part numbers are: Lower rear Side trim bump stop BK3Z-61247A64-C Cargo door magnet BK3Z-6125040-A plastic covers BK3Z-16758-C

Yes, if the mk8 is the equivalent to the 2019 in the US.
