One of my favorite synergies with Radiant Scrollwielder is hitting everything on the board with Crush the Weak or Cinderclasm and gaining a TON of life in the process. I once went from having only 2 life to being well above my Righteous Valkyrie's buff effect >:)

They could have been freaking out / intimidated by knowing who they were faced up against. I played Marshall from LR once on the ladder and was winning, then totally choked because I couldn't believe I was ahead against him. At least on Arena, I think a lot of the major streamers carry that "star power" small advantage. The spoils of success!

I been playing boros burn for about a month now I love it. I have 2 crackel of powers, 2 lorehold command and a playset of the wolf that flips for burn spell as pseudo draw and 4 magic missels.

The Alchemist can be a pretty fancy combo with sorcerer's class, where creatures tap for mana to cast instant or sorceries. Might be a little more consistent version of that combo

I don't think it works that way, it's not like scrying something before you draw(beginning of the upkeep>untap lands>draw) as soon as the upkeep start you are going on the stack so it would not resolve scrollweilder (basically you are just past the point where you get the trigger), I might be wrong since I'm kinda new to MTG but maybe someone will point that out, or maybe you already tested it and you can confirm or deny my point. :D

@@Bersi992 I asked because I was pretty sure that it worked and he rarely makes mistakes, but you made me doubt so I tested it with the 1 Scrollwielder that I have and it does indeed work as long as you put a stop on upkeep. The trigger still happens even if it has nothing to target in the graveyard, so you can cast an instant in response to that and then the trigger picks it up.

There is a red werewolf that essentially has magecraft +1/+1 in daytime and +2/+2 at night. I tried to make something similar to the white/green magecraft deck. Still working out the kinks but I think it has potential.

If a burn deck is REALLY trying to be more controlling, then put 2 crush the weak and cut 2 ingenious inspiration. Plus replace lands with snow lands and add 3-4 frost bite, cutting whatever you decide is best. Goldspan dragon is the best red card in standard and can win games by itself, and outpace if the opponent draws badly, also it helps flashback Sacred Fire, so that’s not bad to include even. I personally prefer fast burn decks that shoot ALL burn or MOSTLY all to face, so my version would def include 4 flame channeler for more early creatures and to keep the card advantage coming.

Such a great burn deck. Been sad since the archetype had very little support since ravniva rotated. I think I still prefer the traditional count to 20 style burn but this is a fun take. I especially like the late game engines. I did wonder about showdown of the skalds but I'd imagine it's actually kinda clumsy in this deck since we have enough expensive hits that you probably end up picking up the wrong cards often enough where adversary and scrollweilder stick to the plan a bit better!

Sir.. The deck is extremely excellent. Just wanted to ask a question of a thought that came to mind. How would this deck work in a white, black, red control deck in Historic with Pestilence Spirit.Not only giving the spells lifeline but also deathtouch.

It would probably struggle vs other control and combo decks that don't rely on creatures. Decks in Historic need to be either very proactive capable of winning by turn four, or need to have lots of interaction and late game inevitability. I don't think this hypothetical Mardu deck could realistically accomplish that while keeping those key cards. You would need early Discard spells to have a chance, but those are awkward to get back later with Scrollwielder. An aggressive Rakdos deck with Pestilent Spirit is more feasible.

While viewing the cards, you could have a small area that displays how many of each rarity the deck contains. I am not rich enough to play a deck full of mythics, but if i see a deck with a small count of rare cards, i would def go try to build it.

I built this deck and having no luck with it. I think it went like 2-7. Either I'm thee unluckiest person to play the game or I suck at magic, but I don't have any problems with the other decks I play so, I duunno. (I did switch ingenious to demon bolt and that seemed to help a little)

In the first match, couldn't you have just ignored the Westgate Regent and burned them out? You had nine damage of burn in hand that you could play that turn; the next turn casting any of those spells from the graveyard through Flashback or Scrollwielder would have killed them. You were winning that race big time, especially with the extra lifegain from Scrollwielder.

Alchemist doesn't care about the spell resolving. He will see your spell being cast, trigger the untap, and then opponent gets the priority to counter your spell.

Lot of very strange misplays from your opponents in this video. Indestructible instead of hexproof with Linvala, complete lack of aggression with the creature lands from that black/white control deck, fighting the Adversary instead of the Scrollwielder in the final game, etc. Felt like there were quite a few games that were the opponent's to win and they handed them to you on a silver platter instead. Seems like the matchmaking algorithm is identifying it as a lower-tier deck and matching you with weaker opponents to compensate.
