I was thinking you could also cut one Peer into the Abyss. In opening hand it does nothing, and so the less you see early the better, and with the various tutors and card draw I feel you will still reliably get one each game.

End of match 3; I would think without a lot of risk you could at least tutor for another Agonizing Remorse and hope to draw into 9th land to maybe secure the Abyss casting, but I guess it wasn’t necessary. Always a pleasure to watch you play.

22:00 That moment when you decide on a whim to buy a castle, and instantly get buyer's remorse and lose 3 life. Then at 23:56 you realize that you really can't afford to use it, all while seeing your neighbor getting the most out of theirs. This game is surprisingly realistic sometimes.

In historic would you play Tome over Treasure Map?
@aIexjung4 жыл бұрын
Depends on what you want to achieve, the treasure map ramps you while tome gives you 4 life and can draw cards. If tome were to be bounced to your hand you could get value out of it instantly so it is better in my opinion.
@thenightman91894 жыл бұрын
@@aIexjung Map can draw as well. Map also draws 3 compared to 2 from tome. Plus map leaves you with a colourless land after it's used up. But you are right, tome gets value instantly where map is a bit slow. I think map is better if the game goes longer but tome is better early game.

@LegenVD4 жыл бұрын
Seems a tad inconsistent.
@ShiivaWilding4 жыл бұрын
@@LegenVD Do you have any advice for a budget version of this deck then? I have a playset of peer and of underworld dreams, but I'm lacking the majority of the other rares to make it work. Is there a version you would feel confident playing that had a lot more uncommons than rares?
@Waghabond4 жыл бұрын
@@ShiivaWilding you could probably build a pretty solid control shell using just black removal spells, and good black cards. a lot of them are at uncommon or common rarity anyway. You could also experiment with an aggro grey merchant shell with this combo slotted in. But that deck wants very few lands in general so it's probably gonna clash with the Mana requirements of this deck. Another option could be to try chromatic black, using all the artifact ramp and chromatic lantern and golos. That deck has a very similar game plan anyway so this combo probably slots in easily.

great deck but its more effective as a blue/black deck with teferis tutelage, card draw, teferi, and Teferis ageless insight, and the jace planeswalker. That way you have a second and third wincon: having tutelage out and using Peer on yourself to cause your opponent to mill 2 times half of your deck, or having jace on the field with Teferis Ageless Insight to draw 2 times half of your deck, which is all of it, and winning via Jace. something a lot like this but add the dreams and some mill. aetherhub.com/Deck/Public/308745
