Thanks for all these deck building tutorials. Great resource for beginner players. I extended the base deck created by LegendVD and was able to get to Gold Tier 4 in Standard Ranked. That's probably all I can expect from this deck. First number is the actual quantity in my deck. I used what I'd collected and then crafted 5-6 cards. Second number is difference from LegendVD's final upgrade totals (Just for reference). 4 (0) Barkhide Troll 3 (3) Rabid Bite 3 (-1) Season of Growth 3 (-1) Giant Growth 3 (-1) Growth Cycle 3 (0) Gnarlback Rhino 2 (-2) Pelt Collector 1 (-3) Thrash/Threat 4 (0) Wildwood Tracker 2 (-2) Syr Faren, the Hengehammer 2 (-1) Yorvo, Lord of Garenbrig 1 (0) Stomping Ground 23 (2) Forest Mix and Match cards below to taste and what you have in inventory. Number is quantity in my deck. Total deck count is 71. Still getting a feel for the deck and haven't fine tuned it. I think Pollenbright Druid/Proliferate cheap for it's influence. Of course, you might have to hold it in hand until a few creatures with counters are in play. 1 Nessian Hornbeetle 4 Pollenbright Druid 2 Oakenform 2 Stony Strength 1 Pridemalkin 2 Wildborn Preserver 1 Fertilid 2 Hydra's Growth 2 Return to Nature These have Potential: Ivy Elemental Voracious Hydra Two cards to consider but seemed too expensive considering their influence on battlefield: Nissa, Who Shakes the World The Great Henge Card Text to save you all some time: Nessian Hornbeetle At the beginning of combat on your turn, if you control another creature with power 4 or greater, put a +1/+1 counter on Nessian Hornbeetle. Pollenbright Druid When Pollenbright Druid enters the battlefield, choose one - Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature. Proliferate. Oakenform Enchanted creature gets +3/+3. Stony Strength Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature you control. Untap that creature. Pridemalkin When Pridemalkin enters the battlefield, put a +1/+1 counter on target creature you control. Each creature you control with a +1/+1 counter on it has trample. Wildborn Preserver Flash. Reach. Whenever another non-Human creature enters the battlefield under your control, you may pay X. When you do, put X +1/+1 counters on Wildborn Preserver. Fertilid Fertilid enters the battlefield with two +1/+1 counters on it. Remove a +1/+1 counter from Fertilid: Target player searches their library for a basic land card, puts it onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffles their library. Hydra's Growth Enchant creature When Hydra's Growth enters the battlefield, put a +1/+1 counter on enchanted creature. At the beginning of your upkeep, double the number of +1/+1 counters on enchanted creature. When I started Arena, this was the deck I played all the time (altered with even more focus on pump spells; 4 Season of Growth, 4 Gnarlback Rhino, 4 Rabid Bites, 8 pump spells) - I kept owning way more 'serious' decks. I still play this from time to time, and it's also the deck my girlfriend chose for IRL play. ^^

Hydroid Krassis is the best creature in standard. Some others saw play when alliance was released. Grow chamber guardian, Pteramander, the Ooze, the Druid... WAR powerlevel messed things up but still you can see more Simic cards than Azorius.

@@Angel24Marin People play Krasis, because it is broken, not because it in Simuc colours. Though, gardian is playable, your true. Havent seen other cards in constructed at all, only in limited...

@@nexus8964 Incubation druid was in competitive Nissa ramp and Gruul, sometimes with the Ooze. Pteramander in mono blue mainly. Frilled mystic in Flash. Grow Spiral have the Simic watermark too and is widely used. The problem with UG is that his identity isn't as consistent from set to set as others colors combinations so barely end with a cohesive deck.

With a new account, you'll get the 5 missing guild decks by completing the entire account mastery tree. If you have an older account you should have all the guild decks already.

32:20 - Wizards needs to improve this If i remenber correct creatures with "trample" you can choose to deal 1 damage to the dragon and deal the rest (3) to the face 8 + 3 = 11 Why wizards dont ad this function? I dont know...

No, that's only the case if the creature has both Trample and Deathtouch. Otherwise you need to deal enough damage to kill each blocker before damaging the player.

Has something changed since this video? I am 30/30 in the mastery tree, and I only have 1 x Sauroform Hybrid and 0 x Kraul Harpooners. I don't see where you get Simic guild cards or Golgari cards.

@@LegenVD I think I figured it out. The missing cards probably come from the 5 decks you get when you complete your mastery. I had no idea you got decks at level 25 :) 2 levels to go for me. Thanks for the video. I went from T4 bronze to T2 silver using 90% of your deck. It is really fun to play and easy to get into. I skipped the missing cards anyway and just crafted their replacements (as they all pretty much get replaced by crafted cards). Thanks again :)

You will only see it if you have a new account. You should have all the card rewards from that mastery tree, so you don't miss out on anything other than a few card styles.

Shouldn't chandra's spitfire be considered a little too strong? a 3 mana uncommon 1-3 flying is ofcource poor. But ability to gain 3 attack for EACH event of dmg against opponent is just insane... yes you could run removal, but can you run removal enough against 2, 3 and maybe 4 of them? When a 3 mana uncommon force removal or you lose, there's something odd about that... Shouldnt it be, gain 1 or 2 attack for each non-combat dmg? or gaining 3 attack once?

MineRoyale Yay no shit. Obviously any deck can be counter played but you have no control over what you play against and what you draw. That's the nature of Magic but that doesn't negate the fact a turn 4 13 damage attack especially if they played first is a lot to deal with.

@@itzEspeon I believe they made a decision to award all existing players with the updated decks but if you owned any cards that would be in the new decks (aka from last rotations intro decks) then no additional cards would be awarded. Not sure why you didnt get the decks pop up the same as me though...i had a beta account - just returned after release and completed the new player experience for the first time - maybe thats it?
