@@MrLancepeppler Afaik the updated account mastery tree is only for new players. If you already had an account you will have received all 15 starter decks, which include the bulk of the cards.

I just started a couple days ago and theres no white/red option, I'm actually only seeing a white green and white blue options. Maybe I'm missing them tho Edit: had to get to level 25 in what ever it was. sorry *bows*

Cool series! Once, I've started to play mtg with your eternal thirst guide, it was almost a year ago. I'd suggest to focus these guides on constructed event: make final decks, that could be relevant there, and showcase final decks in that play mode. I think it would make guides more relevant for new players, because they would have a decent plan on what-to-do: grind constructed event, get cards to do it better, repeat. It will also make guides more relatable for more experienced free to play players, as a way to diversify their routine with new kinda easy to collect decks. I think, "Play" is mostly considered as a place for junky decks (despite occasional appearance of Nissa-chan), so even as a complete starter you dont really want to play there. Anyway, thanks, I like your calm attitude a lot )

5:50 - I make a habit of blocking the tokens first because of Thunderkin Awakener. More common in reef decks, but I've seen it around in cavalcade as well. 'Haste, when Thunderkin Awakener attacks return target less tough elemental in your graveyard to the battlefield tapped and attacking, sac the returned elemental on end step.'

New subscriber here. Really nice video. This is exactly what the new players need. MTG Arena's matchmaking is pretty brutal. Regardless if you are new, you will still be paired with a refined and or even worse, a full crafted meta deck. This should at least guide them on the direction they wan't and not get too absorbed by the meta. Hope you make more videos like this. All the best and cheers!

Nahiri, Storm of Stone (uncommon) is a good early pick to use as a placeholder for more expensive wildcard purchases. Her first strike passive makes her one of your future sideboard cards against deathtouch heavy decks, and her ability to be used as removal sees her sometimes brought in against decks running Hushbringer.

Love the video and had a similar deck brewed, but I found that replacing Orator with Hushbringer gives far better results. Stops multiple green creatures, death triggers in Rakdos, renimator decks get punished by it and many, many more. With that however, the Soulmender is being replaced with Take Heart that gives more options to push damage in the air and protect key cards.

Not a lot of Throne of Eldraine cards. I wonder if that's going to be a pattern in the other decks as well. Would that mean that Eldraine is underpowered? More self-contained? Just doesn't fit as well with the themes of the starter decks?

The Food mechanic does tend to be pretty self-contained for example. Will probably see more Eldraine cards in other decks, there just weren't many that cared about lifegain.

@@LegenVD Not to mention Adventure, which is pretty powerful by itself, but decks built around that theme have to be almost entirely Eldraine. And the Mardu Knights deck I made for the "play any deck" event would've liked a few knights from the previous rotation, but its current incarnation has just one playset of non-land cards not in Eldraine.

Your account is probably old. These are new, fresh decks. But you still must have all these cards, for sure, you can build it yourself. Although I wouldn't call it a deck, it's just a pile of cards

You didn't add Idyllic Grange to the deck. Do you actively dislike it with the low curve, or is it OK but too meh to call it an upgrade? I also feel a lot of nostalgia for the upgrade guides, looking forward to the rest! It would be fun to see Boros or Orzhov next since they were nerfed compared to the Ravnica Guild Battle decks.

That's a different Mastery Tree. The one showed in the video is for newly created accounts (Account Mastery). The one you're talking about is the Eldraine Mastery Tree.
