Hey Can you or some other awesome dude out there explain the fiend hunter ability at 3:59 in a little more depth? It sounded really awesome but also quite confusing.

Fiend Hunter has two "linked" abilities, you can cast or activate something else in between and let it resolve in stack. Let's say you cast Fiend Hunter and you target an opponent's creature with it by his first ability (ETB). Then in response, you somehow blink or remove Fiend Hunter with another card, Instant or ability. But before he is removed, his second ability (LTB) enters into the stack to be resolved first. Since the first ability is still on the stack, Fiend Hunter is still on the battlefield, and there is no exiled card (yet), the second ability (the condition to return the exiled creature) resolves and does nothing; then Fiend Hunter is removed; and then the first ability resolves and the creature is exiled permanently. Since Fiend Hunter will not remember what creature he exiled, he can enter the battlefield and exile another creature. It's a neat, yet difficult combo to do and to explain to your confusing opponents.

Han Daimond Ty for explaining this, makes sense as Fiend Hunter is being blinked, therefore he is never truly leaving the battlefield to begin with. So long as one has the mana blink him in to exile the biggest threats permanently first and foremost. Awesome shenanigans

Blink derevi with the navigator for 2 mana with lotus netting 1 mana then he re enters unwrapping lotus and you can do that as much as you want

Theo Duckett Actually, necrolordz was totally right. Derevi has been banned for the past two years dude. Necrolordz specified 1v1, and that's where the ban is. It took place around six months after his comment, and has been in place ever since. In standard multiplayer, Derevi is still allowed, but that's not what Necrolordz was talking about.
