I'm one of those playing around with the W/R version and after seeing this I'm very tempted to put in that Thalia's Lieutenant, although I'm not sold on adding green just yet, but still, very intriguing to see a different version of what I'm trying to build. Dev!!! What would you cut for Thalia Heretic Cathar? Did a little bit of testing with the deck. I think 4 Glorybringer can be a bit much. And the deck doesn't have enough good creatures to play on turns 3-4. Like you don't want to open with Glorybringer in hand. You want to get him off your 3rd draw step or something. Opening with two 5 cost creatures can give you a dead hand on turns 3-4 with not much to do proactively. playing 2 or maybe even 3 Thalia can be great disruption could just leave her on your board and use her to disrupt your opponent to where they can't block. Give them another creature to bait removal on that isn't Glorybringer or Glory Bound Initiate. So what are your thoughts? Also idk why Expedition Envoy is in the deck when you can play Soul-Scar Mage. It buffs easier as well as is better vs -1/-1 counters. And can bypass hexproof and indestructible (Asking because I am prolly going to build this deck and I want it to be as good as possible while also being semi budget.)

I would love to see *Green/Black Snake* deck next ... but would also like to point out the following decks with potential: - Green/White 'humans', while i like this build, somewhat feels like Always watching + Humans would be stronger in G/W ?!? - Blue/Red, spells (control and/or agro combination, multiple accents possible); this can be budget with mediocre landbase - Mono-Green *Budget Ramp* , this deck looks actually pretty sick at first draft (all those fight spells in green :O ... 12x !!!! ), $15? - Blue/White flyers (while not having brewed with it yet, it's pretty clear the pieces are there, and it's always a solid arch-type)

Starting to see the RW Humans deck a lot right now. It's looking pretty darn strong. I like this version but would worry a bit about the mana for that third color. Still, looks very cool. Next time? I'd love to see the Trials of Tentacles deck but let's go with the Snake deck to see what's cooking there. Can it beat the RW (or Naya) Humans deck? Thanks, Dev!

Not what I expected, but cool. I focused mine more around controlling taps and blocking mechanics, though I was initially making a Temur exert, then a Naya splash blue for Open into Wonder. The resulting purely Naya exert deck includes Ahn-Crop Crasher and Emberhorn Minotaur, as well as Fan Bearer, Khenra Charioteer, and an Ahn-Crop Champion. Admittedly though, your deck seems more Boros splash Green than true Naya as I see it.

Hey Dev, I finally got around to testing this list, currently played about ten games with it and only lost twice. It pretty much utterly destroyed all the Aetherworks decks I came across, which was a bunch of the games I played, it was pretty much Ulamog or bust for them in those games and post board with cast out and by force it's even easier to win. I lost one to a snek deck and the other was UR control, but that loss was more me keeping a greedy hand instead of mulligans. So far I'm liking the list but I have a couple of things I'd like to try out. First I would like to have the bloodlust guy that gives haste over expedition envoy, I know it's sacrificing a small amount of power but untaping with it and having every subsequent threat come in with haste seems great. I'm also gonna trade out samut for a tireless tracker, again giving up a small amount of power for a grindy card. IDK if these changes r correct but they r worth trying in my mind lol.

Dev, got an idea for a G/B Oracle's vault deck. G/B mainly for the snake. Having the 3/3 trample that adds a counter when entering or dying is great. Mine runs 2 Viziers of the Menagerie as well, so you know what you can play for free with the vault. Thoughts?

I like this deck, it seems pretty fun. I made a similar deck with only 2 always watching, but included 4 blessed alliance, 4 Djeru's resolve (acts kind of like the blossoming defense) & 4 Prepare [to] Fight. I use these as my removal suite game one, then side in Dec Stone and Cast Out. I had 4 Tah Crop Elite (in place of the Always watching), but I think I will sub it out for the 2/2 human that gets flying when exerted. Arlin Cord seems like it would be pretty awesome as well. Lots to think about for FNM this week...

I use Brave the Sands as opposed to Always Watching because it is slightly more mana efficient and use Vizier of the true along with other cards that add to the overall exert effects (Angel of Condemnation, Ahn Crop Crasher, Resolute Survivors etc.) . Almost all my creatures exert and some can combo to draw cards if you get stuck late in a match (Battlefield Scavenger). I like samut but don't play green. I also like throwing in a blessed alliance in case I can't hit a brave the sands or need some removal.

does anyone else think Thraben Inspector is the most played card in standard since it's release? I can't even count how many decks I've seen it in including ones I play. Can anyone count how many times that clue token has come though in a pinch, I can't. She gets my vote as one of the best cards in standard, and probably the best creature in standard as well.

Theo C only certain decks use scrounge, Inspector can be in anything that has white. plus, Inspector has been around longer.

Tentacle deck! I've been messing with elder deep fiend and Bone picker (the bird that costs 1 mana if a creature died). You can get elder out on turn 3... but I can't find an effective way to kill a creature on turn two that I'm comfortable with... anyways the kraken cards would be a sweet theme and I'd love to see your take, Dev.

I kind of would've liked it if you could have fit Champion of Rhonas into the deck. It doesn't really do much, but I just like that it puts a creature straight onto the battlefield. If I built the deck, I'm a little tempted to either play one copy for a 61 card deck, cause the effect, while cool, isn't great if there aren't any creatures in hand, or test it in place of Samut (even though Samut is better). As for next time, this was a toughy. I kinda want you to get Snakes out of the way, but the Tentacles decks sounds really cool! Since you've done a lot of newer decks lately I say do Snakes next then Tentacles after.

No Trueheart Twins??? That card is nasty in exert! I know it clashed in CMC but it is completely worth it! I ran an Esper exert build in prerelease and in copying Trueheart Twins I swung for 24 in the air and 9 on the ground. IN PRERELEASE
