hilarious deck, man. Thank you. I'd like to see GB snek if only to get your perspective on how to deal with -1/-1 counters from your opponent, since those get amplified too by my reading. But all decks are good. Keep up the strong work.

I really like this deck and I was wondering if you could make a deck with the possible turn 3 kill of flameblade adept, noose constricter and shadow of the grave because I haven't been able to get a good list.
@kevinl80377 жыл бұрын
kenneth rodriguez play insult//Injury instead of shadow. It keeps you from having to play black. I play a changed list of G/R and DOMINATED my LGS against decks like Mardu, Marvel, etc.
@BrunoCasagrandaNeves7 жыл бұрын
+Kevin L And how did Flameblade fare? I couldn't get any good results with him yet, as it doesn't scale as well as it would do in a UR build... something I'm whiling to play right now. Do you mind sharing your list to foster the discussion, please?

@johnnyandthepnuemoni7 жыл бұрын
His brews on average are pretty cheap online. I don't see how a patreon is needed for that. Maybe I'm not understanding KZbin but wouldn't doing a deck tech in one video then the next day doing an MTGO demonstration of it bring more views bringing more revenue? I know this stuff takes work and editing but if the no name KZbinrs with 20 followers can do it I'm sure he can.
@combustible2877 жыл бұрын
johnnyandthepnuemoni Its not the cost of the decks, it's setup time and he'll need money to support this hobby. He doesnt make much from KZbin, so Patreon helps this be a lot more worth it
@ArdenDag7 жыл бұрын
Actually, hasn't he said that he didn't monetize his videos on KZbin? That might have been a while ago
@TheGrimReaper5327 жыл бұрын
Rather it be the cost the time or for whatever reason I'm sure he has his reasons for not posting videos of playtest, but it seems like the patreon is gonna let him give everyone a lot more of what they want to see, he's already at like 40% being donated to go towards his new video recorder

This deck's sweet. My main issue after testing this brew on tapped out is the lack of black mana available to cast your main win con faith of the devoted. I find that around turn 4 you want to cast this card to ensure the combo piece goes off (after a turn 3 weirding wood) and I never get a black mana source on turn 5 that's ready to play.

I went with Shadowstorm Vizier as my win-con. It gets a +1/+1 every time you cycle. I replaced two Faiths with two Shadowstorms, one Cast Out with Cartouche of Zeal, and one Censor with Fling. If Shadowstorm is countered or destroyed in any way you another and/or you can fling him in response. Same goes if Cartouche is countered, instead of attacking with Haste just pump him to 20/22 and fling her without the worry of someone countering. It's unlikely they will counter again since they already countered Cartouche in that turn. Lots of different ways to do it. if you want to be extra careful add another fling and another Cartouche, replacing another Censor or Cast out, or even a Renewed faith. Censor is pretty important. that's just my opinion. it makes the game just a little less tedious and a bit backed up in my opinion.

THERE IT IS. Wierding wood and vizier. That shoulda been in the simic ramp lmao. I get you're cycling it in this deck cuz you get the card back and it's free extra mana, but playing the card is actually good on it's own too.
@luminalpath15867 жыл бұрын

Dev instead of playing drake haven or Faith of the devoted you should try fateful showdown. I've been playing mine with it and it opens some room for a little more consistency. Every time i got off my new perspectives I've won and instead of tapping a bunch to ping i just do the entire 20+ in one shot, though it does require at least weirding wood on the field and at least 2 vizier cycling a couple times

Still learning a lot about MTG.. When dev say's "going off" what is being referred to?
@SBMTG7 жыл бұрын
When you drop New Perspectives and start doing all the stuff the deck is supposed to do. Basically, the turn a combo deck "goes off" is the turn it wins the game
@Arghore7 жыл бұрын
What dev says ... though it is somewhat sad to see the term used in all sorts of ways, even on like simple 2 card interactions somewhere mid game ... but the only true place it should be used is in regards to combo decks, that reach the combo pieces and after that basically do something 'infinite' (or close to it) and win the game.

I made a standard dredge list, and the nonlands cost $35 total, while the manabase another $60 - hoping that a cheaper on is possible
