Let’s be clear. The price of freedom is not free. Often we hear people complain about tax dollars going to Israel and Ukraine. People are confused between state tax dollars and federal taxes. Federal taxes are used for many things to keep Americans safe. Federal dollars is given to many countries around the globe from Germany, UK, Japan, parts of Africa and other countries in Asia including South Korea, Australia, Italy and so on. These dollars are used for military purposes and intel that keep Americans and their allies safe globally and here at home. When you hear Trump brag about not giving financial and military aid to our allies and if he follow through on his treats it increases the threats Americans face abroad and domestic. Yes it sounds good to say we need to spend that money here at home and we do. The federal government gives billions to states and those states like Mississippi give federal dollars to Brett Farve to build a Volleyball Stadium. We have increasingly become more reactive and less educated and we need to change that. There is a reason Trump says he loves the Uneducated. Uneducated people will believe anything you tell them. Smart people like myself will fact check anyone no matter who they are, and hold that person accountable.
