Always happy to see my favorite format getting some love! I'm a Delver player because Lightning Bolt is the best Magic card and I won't be told otherwise. A fun matchup to see could be Doomsday vs Delver. The Delver player is favored, but Doomsday gets to play Sheoldred the Apocalypse out of the board as a thing that Delver really can't race without a huge Murktide Regent.

ive only been playing magic (technically arena) for a little over a year but this is absolutely my favorite (not arena) mtg channel...i love watching the spikey-est of play and this channel absolutely delivers spike play for so many formats now...makes me want to play not-arena magic

Playing paper can be a bit of a doozy the first time because you have to keep track of all the triggers yourself, it becomes second nature eventually which makes paper even more fun than it already is when you know your deck front to back. Best of Luck and have fun

Last game with there was a line if goblins player didn't feel like the incoming wasteland was relevant they could have bounced mukus and redeployment with trigger from goblin lackey. If there is a combo finish it could have helped.

I would love to see some Dreadnought. There is a mimic omnishow version with Mosswort Bridge I have in paper, but I have also seen a sulti version which is a more traditional stiflenought build using Lazav the multifarious and scroll of fate. Most recently, I have seen the stiflenought package in a fair temur greater good deck with Uro. All are amazing

With game 2, I'm sortof surprised the shuffler was Progenitus, over one of the shuffle titans or Gaea's Blessing

Elves primarily has Progenitus in the SB as a hard to remove beater that you can find with Natural Order, the shuffle effect is a side effect really and not the primary reason you use it, it's just better than nothing in this case. As Painter is currently a very popular deck in the format however, we might see more decks sideboarding Eldrazi Titans or Gaea's Blessing.

Why Progenitus and not one of the Eldrazi titans to shuffle the whole library back?

Progenitus is in the sideboard of most traditional elves decks as a natural order target in removal heavy matchups where createrhoof might not be lethal. the shuffle text is usually flavor text for elves, but it mattered in that particular matchup.

Two questions. For match 1 game 2, wouldn't it have been better if Zack put Emrakul on the board to make Ryan sacrifice all his permanents the next turn? Or was Gristlebrand better to try and pay around the Karakus? Second one for match 2, wouldn't Emrakul or another Eldrazi Titan be a better put in the deck to protect from mill? Elves is already running Progenitus in the side board as protection, and shuffling your whole graveyard back in would really cause problems for a mill deck.

It says it destroys it. That's the oracle text of the card. It's gone back and forth over the years.

I'm not an expert in Legacy, but pretty sure progenitus us in the board mostly as an alternate target for natural order that happens to have a little upside against mill.

Goblins didn't run Ulamog in the sideboard. It runs Progenitus to account for some more edge cases. It is in the deck because it can be fetched up with Natural order.

Ryan only had a 15 card sideboard. Progenitus is the best well rounded card for blind matchups. Especially since you can fetch it up with Natural order.
