I loved showing more of the table talk. It furthers the idea of Commander being a social game. as far as what's next? Whether it's Quintessential Commander or Tabletop Brawl they're great! For Commander Legends... maybe a game where each player builds partnered commander decks based around the various new partner commanders in the set? in general Sealed could be fun. maybe some 2 headed giant games with rotating partners?

19:52 lord windgrace player could have sacced the animated land (it is animated until his next turn). So he would save both planeswalkers. Really nice game guys, high quality, strong decks! Love to see that!

Turn 4: Lord Windgrace should have taken 5 as well Turn 5: The beast token should have gotten all the ability counters from kathril. That would have made it indestructible vs the wildfire

Omg, you're right! Completely missed the Kathril trigger. I think most people just assume that all the counters need to go onto Kathril and Kathril only. Thanks for pointing it out!

Its just the spirit of acidic slime watching over the game from beyond death, also I really enjoyed all the animations so a minor ghost image was just an extra amusement when I noticed it

Lord Windgrace is one of those commanders that makes for a very unenjoyable game... many commander groups strongly discourage using him to keep the game enjoyable.

I always hate the games including lord wingrace because i really don't like the way his decks play. Well this was not the issue here. I love the deck and the way Liang Ying played the deck. I love this channel and the editing, thanks for the great contnent guys.

Here are some good places to start: magic.wizards.com/en/content/commander-format edhrec.com/ And you can use Scryfall (scryfall.com/advanced) to check for legality or just find cards with the effects that you want

Mana drain cares about the CMC of the spell, and commander tax does not affect the CMC of the spell. In this case, the lord windgrace counter should only add 5 colorless Mana, not 9.

Q Ranger isn't needed if you have Argo Elder and Ashaya. Argo Elder simply taps and targets himself and another land. It's infinite mana with just those. Ley Weaver + Ashaya works the same way Hope Tender or Magus of the Candelabra work the same way except they need something that gets more than 1 mana. You can do it without even having Ashaya in play if you use Maze of Ith and a dual land untapper. But in that case you only have mana in combat so you need a way to play at instant speed. A good way to help here is Emergence Zone. Or my favorite: Omnath Locus of Mana who sits in my command zone and Ashaya is in the 99. Agreat way to just draw the deck with any of these combos is Bonder's Enclave. Or another one that is almost as good but not quite is War Room.

Been too nice not exiling that island instead of reclamation, reclamation was no use since he had no repeatable ctivated effect, but the island could be a threat... and became one since it nullified a turn recasting Windgrace... But that woould have been extra mean ! Would love to see an Averna cascade deck, could be fun to watch

Just a rules comment The tax for commanders don't increase the cmc. So when you mana drained you should've only gotten 5 mana not 9. 2nd video one watched, looking the content, keep it up

This would have been more fun to watch had it not been a game of archenemy. Maybe a soft ban list or budget restrictions or something like Commander Clash does might be useful here? Definitely not fun to watch someone play with themselves and their food for 40 minutes.

I thought the same at first. But I have realized these guys play highpower perhaps semicompetative. They should have answers and they eventually did. Once I realized this, the game became interesting, as they had to figure out what to do about wingrace. Even in more casual games sometimes someone just has the luck and can become archenemy. I just hate it when power levels are way off. For clarity theses decks are on the same level.

Yeah unfortunately he just ramped too quickly and had all the answers in this game. We don't have a banlist but we do try to make sure that the decks are of a similar power level

Gabriel playing Ashaya here. The decks we play have similar power level so it can be interesting to watch. Lord Wingrace just ramped into oblivion so it was hard to us to catch up. But we sure did try 😂
