I was puzzled also that it isn't in the video, as it is an older card and is green, whereas Wall of Omens is the color-changed version of it.

My favorite Defender cards are the classics - Wall of Stone, Wall of Swords, Wall of Wood, that sort of thing. I don't think I even own a card with Defender that isn't a wall.

caryatid was so great in G/R monsters back in theros. I would run 4 of em with 3 elves. Even though the elves were 1 mana it was so much more reliable.

Wall is a creature type. Defender is a keyword that can be applied to any creature.

Sylvan Caryatid for the win! It was in the same standard as Axebane Guardian and Gatecreeper Vine, which were the core of my 5 color good-stuff anti-meta deck. (4 of each, then fill in the rest of the deck with literally your favorite/strongest cards of ANY color). Sphinx' Revelation? Duh. Rakdos' Return? Absolutely. Prophet of Kruphix, I can't believe NOBODY ran this while it was in standard, easily one of the best creatures I've ever seen. Cyclonic Rift? Colossus of Akros? Bruh it's a 20/20 with trample and indestructible, the mana you could pump out with Axebane Guardian made it a non-issue. Easily my favorite standard deck I ever made, it was so silly to plasm capture something on turn 3, then hard cast Aetherling with blue mana to spare, if the opponent didn't kill the axebane guardian as soon as I put it out, it was basically GG.
