If you did, they’d be forced to chump block with Lunarch Veteran and Inspiring Overseer, or block Adeline with Voice of the Blessed. Then they’d be unable to kill you on the way back unless they already had a lifegain card in hand.

I'm really happy that Annex Sentry was the final boss of Diamond. I love that card a lot specifically because the exile and big butt are good at stalling aggro. I run a full playset of them in my mono white control Mite deck. I use Indoctrination Attendant with Annex Sentry and Ossification to deal with whatever the biggest threat is until I can reach 7 mana and win with White Sun's Twilight.

Graveyard Trespasser is a human with an attack trigger. Seems like you should have a few in the board for graveyard hate. Training is also an attack trigger, which makes me think Hopeful Initiate might be better than Recruitment Officer.

In the final set there was a punt on the sideboarding I feel, the get losts were more easily fueling there Dusk Roses so just taking them out and putting in the elsbeth smites would have saved some heartache, love the deck and brewed up a version of it in Naya use ing Yotian Disenant and Teething Wormlet Yorian on 2 Pakal turn 3 throne turn 4, also with Ozalith cause I love that card

In the Surge Engine game you commented that Melding is risky, but I disagree. None of the BRO melds let your opponent 2-for-1 you - Mightstone & Weakstone gets you card advantage on ETB and offsets the meld cost; Dragon Engine can be unearthed to meld for incidental value after trading or looting (potentially drawing you a fresh hand as well); Argoth is immediately replaced by at least 4 lands on a successful meld. Therefore, the only real loss if they remove the melded pair (or the mythic before the meld occurs) is that you're down that one creature. "Dies to removal" as an argument only goes so far, as demonstrated by the ubiquity of Sheoldred. The upside of an unanswered meld is that you win effective immediately, and the downside of failing to meld is having to run build-arounds that are still individually good cards.

So I played draft on opening weekend and had inti and anim in my pulls i went 4-0 and that made me start brewing with humans and i went 5 color but then i remembered isshin is standard so i brewed something similar to this my list plays initiate, tress passer. And warden of the inner sky but throne is really good so i am tweaking my original list to fit 4 thrones

Mishra very expensive to meld + a lot of setup enemy sees and can get ready for. Urza pretty bad planeswalker for the work needed to meld (also randomly dies to She's edict) Titania requires massive deck building commitment and still dies to doomblade so it's an all in strategy. Melds don't work simply cuz payoffs are quite bad. Instead of melding it's better to run 2-3 card combos which is kind of like meld but you have an instant win-the-game state and not some value piece that dies to common removal.

Game 1 could’ve been won if you had swung out. They’d be forced to block Adeline Intet and Recruitment officer and lose all their creatures in combat. If they don’t trade voice for Adeline they would have to lose both of their lifegainers and no way to pump voice unless they’ve got something in hand. Either way they already have lethal with fliers at next turn so you lose anyways if you don’t go for the kill.

I’m not sure if this question was asked here before, but if anybody has an answer, please reply. If you use pan harmonic on which triggers an EBT effect and you play Roman throne where it gets to choose to creature types if you have a creature, that is both types does it trigger just the one time because the creature has any of those types or does it trigger because it checks for a creature type and sees that that type is the correct type to produce a trigger for it once or does it see the hay this creature type triggered it just happens to be from the same source. Just trying to figure out if there’s a way to double the ETB trigger if you could give Roman throne more than one creature type to check for any creature being more than one of those types. I.e. human warrior triggering twice versus a changeling being any of the specified types, but only triggering ones. I tried explaining this to different ways for the request.

Roaming Throne's second ability says, "As Roaming Throne enters the battlefield, choose a creature type." This is a replacement effect, not a triggered ability, so Panharmonicon won't let you choose two types. If you did somehow manage to choose two types, it would work for creatures of either type, but still only once for creatures of both types.

Just a couple games in so far, and I’m trying to figure out what exactly these decks are that his opponents are playing. They look like complete garbage. I get that he hadn’t made it to Mythic yet, but jeezzz those decks he was against were awful! They were basically removal piles with absolutely no way to win the game, decks that look like they were good 6 months ago, and tribal fun decks. Instead of the video ending where he just hit Mythic, I would have like to see it start there. Give it a good test to see what it can really do.
