I never saw Chris do this, but the Merrow Commerce is technically a merfolk and can be tapped using Kumena's ability. (It also gets the +1/+1 counters, not that it matters much for an enchantment I suppose.) I don't think it was particularly relevant this game, but just a fun fact for potential future use.

Sylvan Library (even with oracle text) actually reads draw 3 cards, then put it back ... So with Mind's Eye you can actually pay 3 and draw 3 regardless how many they keep.

If you look at Martins Lands, he does sometimes pay 3 to draw 3

Because the Kentaro decklist isn't there yet, I just did some research on combo decks involving Kentaro, and this is what I got: Any samurai + Oathkeeper + Puresteel Paladin (w/ metalcraft active) + Blasting Station/Altar of Dementia: equip Oathkeeper on the samurai for free, sac it, bring it back, equip Oathkeeper for free again, sac. Repeat for infinite damage/mill; Puresteel Paladin + Oathkeeper + Ashes of the Fallen + Blasting Station/Altar of Dementia: same as above These are some of the combos. It's very similar to my Saffi Eriksdotter deck, so I already like it. :D

I have a mono white lin sivvi deck. There are loads of infinite life combos. Infinite reanimation with lark+ karmic guide. Suntitan + some white enchantments that reanimate. So you have infinite sac. Outlet triggers from altars for infinite mana or infinite mill or whatever

I really don't understand the point of Kentaro as a commander, except for flavor. As a commander, it's second ability does literally nothing in EDH because of color identity rules. My only guess is that it's to throw people off and not assess him as a threat until he can combo off. However, as a rule of thumb, I would say if you can't tell when a deck is doing, just assume it's a combo deck and kill them when you have the chance.

That's incorrect. Please refer to this line on the Gatherer rulings: *10/17/2013 The “number of times it’s been cast from the command zone” includes the most recent time. For example, the first time you cast your commander from the command zone in a game, if you spent mana from Opal Palace’s last ability to do so, it will enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter.*

Why didn't the Mowu player immediately Krosan Grip that Endless Horizons? You would have almost certainly knocked him out of the game by eliminating most or all of his basic plains and a dual land. I saw that in the opening hands, can't imagine not using it.

The way he can NOT pay any mana for samurais it's actually a pretty cool advantage (with discounts and colorless mana rocks). You can use all that extra mana to draw cards or play defensive spells.
