I just got my mtm kit delivered today and I put my ryobi 40v 1500 psi whisper pressure washer last night together. It's such a perfect video for setting mtm kit with ryobi washers. I was gonna order 50 feet uberflex hose but after watching your video I don't have to since mine is battery powered and portable so I dont need extra length at all for only car washing and hose came with will just fine with mtm kits.Thank you teacher!

I returned it and got the same one with swivel version but its making weird rusted mattress spring noise whenever I release the handle after pressing it.Does yours making that sound also?

Good working setup. I know what I would make with a 3d printer- a nozzle holder that attaches to the gun so the nozzles are right there and handy.

Quick Q: I'm looking into having an PPF Wrap, would the same washing techniques apply? as far as pressure and nozzles?

Great question and I don't have an answer. I would check with the ppf manufacturer to verify. I imagine it would all be fine. But verify. There are so many companies now making different quality of ppf. I'd double check with the actual maker of yours

Wow I need one of these for my pressure washer . That is very handy . Just soap or can ya use any chemicals other than soap ?

Im not sure about the ratios control or how accurate they are at the dilution of chems as they are designed for soaps to mix with water on exit. Honestly for other chemicals I would use a pump up sprayer as they are super cheap and spot on with the ratios as you mix it all right in the container. but for applying soap to a vehicle this thing is amazing. and the soap is so thick it has long dwell time to really break down the contaminates and also lube the vehicle so your wash mit wont scratch.

Great video and thanks for all of the useful information. I originally skimmed through it, but I missed a lot so then watched it all and am glad I did. I recently bought the same Ryobi PW and an Mtm Hydro Magnum28. I haven't used the machine, yet, because I have a dilemma and wanted to possibly correct things before I was locked into having to keep this particular PW. I didn't notice that there was nozzle orifice calculator on the MTM website before I ordered it from Amazon. According to the website, though, our ideal orifice size (for the magnum) is 1.79. I've searched a lot, but haven't found a 2.0 for the foam cannon, yet. I'm tempted to find another PW (more in the way of a 2.0 and 1600-1700psi) in the hopes that it'll be a more ideal match for the 1.1mm orifice foam cannon with the expectation of thicker foaming/better performance. I've already spent $100 for the PW, $170 for the MTM, $60 for a 50' hose upgrade, $70 for McKillian's stainless quick-connect kit...plus $90+ on misc microfiber towels, so spending a few hundreds more for a more perfectly matched PW for the MTM is still doable and okay by me if it means I'll be happier with everything over the next many years. I'm still waiting to hear back from an MTM tech, but eager to come to a conclusion about the set-up and whether or not I should get a different PW. Whats your opinion about the recommended orifice size being much smaller than the 1.1mm (3.0)? Sorry for the long write...I haven't slept yet and it's been a long day/night/morning... 🤣

If I remember correctly my mtm came with 2 different size filters and the orifices. It was really easy to change out to. Can't remeber the details but remember being told I need to install the smaller one for best foam. I did and it worked great.

@@SamkoWorkShop Thanks for the reply. MTM responded to my first msg stating to use the smaller 1.1mm (#)3.0 orifice, also, for the best foam possible with the 1800psi 1.2gpm machine. If they made a #2.0 cannon orifice, then I think we'd have have more thicker and stickier foam like most detailer's prefer. They didn't respond to my second email where I clarified questions and asked if I'd get better results with the 1.1mm orifice and a 2gpm 1800psi machine...although, evidently the Active 2.0 is more like 2gpm 1000psi machine (once the MTM is on) requiring more like a #4.0 orifice. I'll check out your other videos when I have a little more time. Thanks, again.

@nitroburn72 yep foam it and let it sit. Right before the foam begins to dry rinse it. Then repeat. This will get rid of most of the mud. Then do it again and wash with a mit.

you 100% can use the stock gun that comes with the unit. my gun set up is personal preference as I make a living as a pressure washer. so Im a bit more picky. but the stock one would work fine.

Not sure what swivel you are referring to. The mtm canon plugs right into the wash guns quick release. The 25 and 40 are my favorite tips for doing cars

But I would not be washing your car with a 3100 psi washer. For cars you want to be around 900-1700 psi
