I bought this same product. Boy did I have fun putting that crap on. Mine was poorly machined and was coated in paint. The pins for the foot pegs were too big so I had to drill them out for them to fit. It was a pain in the ass. But it’s done now and so far has held up okay. Haven’t ridden too much since I put them on so only time will tell.

You are not the only one that has had trouble installing the controls. I know the Raider brand kit that I bought gave me no trouble at all during install and was held fine. I have since traded the Harley, but idk why some have so much trouble.

Hi Buddy, any chance you can post up a follow up video showing them on the bike with motor running, ebay and amazon have really mixed feedback, so would be good to get real world example, like if the levers rattle around in the forward controls when the bike is running, hows the paint quality after some use, do the foot controls flex under any pressure (like suggested on amazon) would be really helpfull on a follow up review, and alos how your riding style has change, if you could discuss that, the mids have a knees up style, so would like to know if you find the new riding style more comfortable, there is comments on harley sites that forwards dont handle as well as mids, with the sporty being shorter, would like to get your perspective on handling changes post the change to forwards. Really like your posts, very helpfull and informative.

King Premo Everything is usually in the owner’s manual but if not you can definitely find it online!

If you buy forward controls for ‘18 or newer Sporty forwards, you’ll need to buy new footpegs. You can’t re-use your stock pegs

I actually have a review motovlog of the bike itself that I have filmed but not yet edited. The forward controls are great! WAY more comfortable than the mids, for me. Some people may like them. I couldn’t stand the mids. I got them for like $150. I switched out the pegs for some bigger ones and actually ordered some passenger floorboards, just more foot room. I have not gotten those yet but will probably do a video on those as well!

I have a 2017 iron, been thinking about getting forward controls for awhile now but never wanted to pay the dealership prices to install them. How hard did you think it was to install these? I have done minor work on my bike. This would definitely be a big jump from what I've done.

It wasn’t bad for me, but I usually do all my own work. Definitely save yourself some cash and get the cheaper forward controls. If you are not comfortable installing them, have a friend do it or help you and give him/her a couple bucks for it. It wasn’t that bad tho.

I did have to loosen the exhaust to get it installed. I DID NOT remove it completely!

Held up just fine for me! I have not had any issues so far! I would give them a 9/10, only because I did change out the pegs for something bigger, but the included pegs will work.
