This guy is definitely winning the Snowbike conversion kit game. Looking forward to the day he bores with converting dirtbikes with their limitations, and starts building purpose built snowbikes from the ground up, with a better motor platform. Most serious snowbikers don't convert their bikes back to dirt anyway. Purpose built is the future of snowbikes.

Allen thanks a lot for the very detailed & informative video. This helps a lot in the decision process when spending this kind of money. The kit looks to be extremely well thought through (no surprise). Looking forward to see this at the upcoming snow shows.

Here.We.Go! The next Evolution of Snowbiking has begun with Allen's kit. Let the Snow Fly! I can't wait to do all the side by side shootouts with each of the top kits on the same bikes this season and to get the feedback from all the Snowbikers out there.

I'd love to see MtnTop build their own front frame. I'd leave the motor where it is but pull the ski way back closer to the motor to close the gap between the track and ski as much as possible. Then just play with rider position to get the right balance of ski pressure. The bike will turn just fine with plenty of ski turn leverage on the track being back as close to the track as possible. I'm convinced a super short snowbike thats as low as possible, will open up a whole new segment of riding and possibilities.

That’s exactly what what Ruffian snowbikes are doing. Purpose built snowbike frame with a BRC500 2 stroke. Check em out!

Is there a possibility of a purpose built snowbike being made by mtntop? I heard that pre-polaris timbersled had a collaboration with BRC to build one with a 600cc twin. Did Polaris get ownership of that when they purchased timbersled?

Someone made a 1290 ktm engine hillclimb bike put one of those in a dirtbike like they have and put a track kit on it… 180hp 100ft/lbs of torque and it fits nicely.
@brentvinoly627010 ай бұрын
don't know about that but if you google it you will see that Artic Cat has a patent for a purpose built snowbike as you described. Looks like what we would all want and what most of us that have been riding snowbikes for some time believe should have been introduced some time ago. The market for snowbikes continues to grow each year. In the past i believed that was the determining factor for when the release would happen. now i believe that perhaps, it's because the sled manufactures realize that it would be the end of snowmobiles and they have too much invested in production of sleds????? What do you think

Pulling a gear taller is quite a bold claim in my experience you need some serious motor mods to do that but who knows maybe this thing is a game changer

Allan, what is the Trail top speed compared to yeti or the timbersled? I have one of each and the yeti smokes the timbersled by a lot. Both kits have their advantages, but a fast kit that handles good would be sweet!
@mtntopsnowbike2 жыл бұрын
We have a lot of gearing options. In the chaincase we have 5 top tooth options and 3 bottom tooth options so if you want to gear up for trail speed you can. Our standard gearing is lower than what the stock Yeti gearing would be but that seems to be the sweet spot for a lot of riders.

Kinda like the guy who asks how fast a Polaris Boost RMK or Skidoo Turbo Summit is across a frozen lake. I don’t say that trying to be a dick by any means because I get that a lot when people see our sleds. “How fast is that thing?” Lol. I bring it up because while getting gas this morning a guy poked his head in the trailer and said exactly that. The variables and desire out of the machine, riding/terrain preferences and setup differences are endless.

@mtntopsnowbike2 жыл бұрын
We are currently in development of our version of a 3 inch. We are slated to release it during the season and our existing customers will be able to upgrade their units at a discount (just drivers and track). We wanted to have both tracks available to our customers and it made more financial sense to start our with the 2.5. And our 2.5 is no slouch and is a new design for snowbike by us.

You had me sold until I saw the price, 15k with taxes for a kit is more than a new WR450, I can't see the value in that for that price, It is nice but that is getting way to crazy for an add on, how can you possibly justify the insane price for such an accessory? how can it cost more than a new bike? oh ya it's the fucking greed factor again!!
