So, knowing how entirely capable Taeyong is in ANY kitchen, Mark is content to cheerlead and what is interesting to watch him DO is...while Taeyong cooks, Mark, who is rumored to NEVER stop working, is composing raps and turning cooking moves into...choreography.

And what I really enjoy is that TY is teaching and involving people all the time. Even though he knows he could do everything well himself, he delegates tasks to Mark and helps him to learn new skills. (The last egg that Mark fried recently was much better than his earlier attempts - which we probably won't stop teasing him about.) The energy that Mark has never ceases to amaze me (or make me feel slightly tired). He is moving/dancing and playing with words all the time. But he also pays attention and he's a good student.

I know they're all great with each other, and Mark adores the other older brothers, but him and Taeyong have been with each other for a long time, and it's about time we get to see their sweet friendship right in front of our eyes. I think I didn't realize before that we actually didn't see them together having those moments that often.. I mean I figured they're close and do work well together, their vibe together is perfect. But the opposite energy yet the comfortableness in this setting is quite a sight to watch, like you mentioned. I also like how Taeyong always notices Mark and responds to him when necessary, like in that game moment when Mark's strategy didn't work and they thought he's the liar, Taeyong instantly tried to reassure him. I wish we'll be able to witness such moment like them putting on mask or just comfortably chatting, because many take their presence and stage persona for granted and kinda forget how much works has gone behind that and that to see their real self, their youth calmness and innocent spirit is also important.

In this industry, a good mood, an extroverted personality, playfulness, and skinship are generally seen as expected, though it's unrealistic to think that this comes naturally to everyone at all times. And the cameras are on so often that their idol personalities and their off-camera selves can't be kept completely separate. So I love seeing when group members and/or staff recognise and respect the self-care needs of themselves and each other. I know shinee, day6, stray kids, and other groups have really shown this. Baekhyun bedtime behavior but Taeyong is not at all shy in his candid Vlives in his dorm/hotel room often when sleepy and IN bed . Not sure what to make of Baekhyun "sleeping" simply because dozing off does not strike me as most peoples' reaction to the prospect of lee taeyong hopping into bed WITH them. Also we've seen Taeyong playfully pat the bed like that when he shared one with Jonny. So it hit me different when taeyong sat on the edge and said "can I sleep here?" (like he was not sure he was welcome and it was not his camper, too). Or maybe they were both...just playing. Anyway, a couple things that made me go hmmmm...

I really loved this episode especially the Taeyong and Mark moments. I can't speak for what happens when they aren't on camera, but for NCT content you don't see as much Taeyong and Mark moments especially like this. I don't mean that in a negative way just that Taeyong is usually in leader mode a lot and tends to be more on the quite side and alone (not all the time though) and you see Mark more with other members who are more on the loud/hyper side. So It was really touching seeing Mark just come in to Taeyong room and surprise him while making him wonder why he's there and then Mark wanting to hangout with him and do face masks was really sweet and fun to watch. You can also tell it really touched Taeyong and then making breakfast together was so cute and funny. Mark doing movements and noises to everything Taeyong did had me cracking up. When the others asked Mark what he cooked and Mark started to tell the truth when Taeyong cut him off and said Mark helped make everything reminds me so much of Leader/Mom Taeyong in Nct because he never takes full credit and always makes sure his members are included and gets credit. Mark was spot on when he told the camera that Taeyong is mom and he (Mark) is his child in a episode of NCT. Really love this group and the friendships its formed between the different groups and you can tell the members are really happy to be a part of it. I'm also happy that Baekhyun and Taeyong have become close friends outside of SuperM because after everything Taeyong has gone through this year and past years I think it really helped having and extra friend especially one that has experience from being in Industry longer. He even said Baekhyun has been there for him (along with some NCT members) and he seems a lot happier. It's been a lot of fun watching their reality shows and I hope they keep doing them when they aren't doing their own group stuff. I'm an NCTzen and a EXO-L and know each member pretty well from watching their different shows and content, but even though I knew who Taemin was and have listened to his solo music and SHINee I never really knew him or what he was like so I really love getting to know him too because he's awesome. Love all the members of this group and their chemistry and I think it helps others from different fandoms become closer and maybe some new fans of the other groups. I hate fanwars and I understand there will always be toxic people out there, but I wish they could see that if everyone came together and supported each other or their idols we could really make a difference and help our groups/idols get the views and recognition they deserve after all the hard work they put in for us. And if someone doesn't want to stan a group they don't like that's perfectly fine, but you don't have to go out of your way to comment something mean and hurtful, Life is hard enough as it is.

You can clearly tell how nice he is as a leader and as a person. 🥺 Taemin, baekhyun and Kai are just super sweet. The way they joke around with the kids. Your comment really made me realize something about idols in general. Despite being wildly popular and making good money, they stay pretty down to earth. I don't see that with American artists. So many of them think they are God's gift to the world, and have ego's the size of their bank accounts. It is really one of the things that turns me off about Western artists the most. I know they know they are being recorded and this somehow can affect their attitudes, but I just felt I've learned a lot about them watching this reality show. As an Exo-L, I'm so amazed with Baekhyun and Jongin's behaviour... They are so consistent in what they are, they seem to show to their fans their real selves. Baek knowing Kai just by the way he looks, also the way they are terrible liars, but yet they are so caring. I'm really proud of my boys and I really hope they keep noticing they have nothing to be afraid of or ashamed of, because they can have this friendly warm relationship with their fans. In the other hand, I'm so surprised with NCT boys... I'm used to see them full of fierce and powerful on the stages, but they are kind and gentle. Watching him dancing is easy to forget, but Mark is such a kid, adorable kid. Taeyongie has calling my attention so much! He has all this mama vibes. He is cute and responsible, caring and sweet, and definitely a great cooker... It's noticeable they have been improving their relationship and getting better interactions. Of course, they would never have the same relationship they have with the members in their original groups, but still it's a very warm and sweet group, we should send them some strength and support them for all their hardwork. 💙💚

Love your comment and glad you're getting to know the others. I'm and EXO-L, but I've been a NCTzen for longer and your statement is so true. Taeyong has always been the mom of the group. Being a leader to 22 members can't be easy, but you would never know because Taeyong never complains and goes out of his way to take care of everyone and make sure they are ok. He helped some of the foreign members learn Korean when they were struggling, cooks for members and staff/camera crew, Taeyong overheard WinWin (one of the Chinese members) saying he really wanted some ice cream, but didn't have enough money and Taeyong didn't hesitate to buy it for him, multiple times he's gone to NCT dream practice or comeback show and brought them drinks and snacks. In one of NCT 127 reality shows where they are in the U.S they go grocery shopping and Mark is holding the camera talking about how Taeyong is the Mom and he (Mark) is Taeyong child. I could go on and on about I think I've made this comment long enough lol. I will say though its really nice seeing this side of Taeyong in SuperM you can tell he's more relaxed and outgoing, but I think that's because he doesn't have the responsibility of being the leader. I love how close him and Baekhyun have gotten, they are a good fit and Taeyong really needed and extra friend after all the bs he's had to go through recently and throughout the years. He even said in his Vlive recently that him and Baekhyun had just hung out and how it was nice and relaxing to spend time with him since his schedule is so busy for NCT2020 and Baekhyun had given him his hoodie he was wearing because Taeyong really liked it. This SuperM reality show has shown how adorable he is. Maybe because he is not the leader there, he is not under so much pressure, he can feel more comfortable to show his nature without being so worried if everything is going fine.
