Do you have to go 1/4 - 1/2 turn more with the plug wrench after hand tightening the spark plug to crush the gasket?

I make them pretty snug by hand tightening but I’ve always heard to not use anything other than a wrench and hand tight so the threads don’t get damaged

I was looking for torque specs . I’ve heard 18 ft pounds but not sure . I just tightened with 3/8 inch drive ratchet and just tightened it by feel .. just to where it got fairly tight . Don’t think I overtightened it . Hope not

Nice video. I had some questions though. 1. If I had 3 ignition coil problems that causes stalling, can I just replace 2 out of the 3 to use my car? I was planning to do all four(coils and plugs). Money is kind of tight and I need my car to go to work. 2. How much does a mechanic charge if I got all of the parts needed to replace?

Even having 1 bad coil will still cause the car to not run right. Mechanics charge high hourly rates

is it recommended to change out the ignition coils when changing the spark plugs?

Ignition coils usually around 80k-100k miles unless one or more faulty prematurely but spark plugs around 30k-40k miles

It might be bad or deleted gas that doesn’t burn as clean

Some come pre gapped

Nope most modern sold plugs come pre gapped and do not require any anti-seize either
