Thank you Ali for your videos. It is very detail and informative. I really appreciate your effort and learned a lot. My 2017 Camry SE is now over 100K miles. I recently had coolant flush done, transmission fluid change every 30K, engine oil change at every 5K-7K miles, and spark plugs changed. I had a local shop ran code scan and it showed P2109 which is body throttle. I requested for my local mechanic to replace it but he said it's unnecessary and he charged me money to clean it and the code is gone. However, my car performance is not what it used to be. It's running sluggish without much power. I am now getting low gas mileage. On a full tank I used to to get anywhere between 300-320 miles depending on how I drive. Right now, I am getting 254 to 270 miles max on a full tank of gas. I learned how to clean my own mass AF sensor which is really easy by watching your video. I also added some Techron fuel additives to try and improve the gas mileage. I am suspecting that the mechanic did not replace the spark plugs at all, he might have just cleaned it up and charged me money. I will change my own spark plugs today by following the steps in this video. Do you have any other suggestion for me to improve my fuel economy and gas mileage? I also suspect that I may have a vacuum leak somewhere on my Camry and I don't know how to check that. I also checked the air intake box to see if there was any rags that the mechanic may have forgotten and saw that there was no obstruction. So, I don't know what else could be the problem. There are no other error code scanned. But, my car was running great a month ago right before i took my car in for service. It is not performing like it used like a month ago right before I took my car in for the coolant change/flush and spark plugs changed and transmission fluid change. There are no issues with transmission. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

That's great. I'm glad that my videos were helpful for you, I may install oil Catch can to reduce carbon build up on the pistons and the intake valves, that will be helpful for you too
@kevinh5732 жыл бұрын
@@AliMECH Hi Ali. Replacing the spark plugs was a breeze. So simple. Only 10-15 minutes done! I also used CRC electronic cleaner to clean all the wires and electrical connecting components and I also used dielectric grease for the coils The car perform much better. As I suspected I believed the mechanical lied to me and he didn't change the spark plugs at all because they looked really bad, lots of carbon caked onto the ground and side electrodes and they looked really old. There were no cracks on the ignition coils and there were no oil leak or oil residue on the threads of the four spark plugs. When I shined my flashlight into the spark plug holes I noticed there was a lot of carbon build up. The thing is I changed my engine oil every 5K miles. I don't understand why all the piston and valves are so dirty.
@AliMECH2 жыл бұрын
I have that problem too, if you seen my videos before, how I cleaned carbon build up on the pistons and I will solve that problem soon, I'm thinking oil Catch can will solve that, I already ordered oil Catch can, one it arrives, I will install it and show before and after too, stay turned for that

If you like Toyota quality, buy them at a Toyota dealership at the parts counter. I believe Denso is the brand the car came with and is the same they stock for replacement. It's not something that needs to be done too often, so it's worth whatever extra cost there might be, especially if you're doing it yourself and paying nothing for the labour.
