This is my favourite station in Hong Kong, it's cool how it's like a cross between metro and high-speed rail.

These lines are very well organized. They have a specific path to get in or out. American train stops usually vary.

Mind if I use this for a comparison video of AEG/ADtranz/Bombardier GTO/IGBT-VVVF between the MTR ADtranz-CAF train (AEG/ADtranz GTO-VVVF), the BART Rohr A/B cars post-rehab (ADtranz IGBT-VVVF) and NYC Subway R142A/188/143 (ADtranz/Bombardier IGBT-VVVF) just as long as I give credit? I've never been to Hong Kong or the USA unfortunately :( so I don't have my own videos of said rolling stock

The K trains have a motor sound VERY similar to Athens Metro's 2nd generation Hyundai Rotem trains!

Stand firm on escalators! Those trains are quite cool; is that a baggage car at one end of the blue ones?

Just found out that the A-Trains are set for retirement by 2029 without a refurbishment.

are the new trains made in china again?
@davidng23363 жыл бұрын
@@legoisthebest001SCR I have a feeling most (if not all) new trains will be from China. The R-trains on the East Rail is the only exception.

Been on the Hong Kong MTR in 2001 and for the MTR trains pre kcr merger they're 75 ft long with gangways & 5th door 1.5kv dc electrical supply. For me the MTA should replace the R68A & R68s by using 75ft open gangway 5th door just like these MTR Hong Kong Trains.
