Classic example of how underrated Canadian music is. This song should've done way better on Canadian Charts. The song has a good beat and melody, great hook, and truly holds meaning to the Artists. How does a song like this not top the charts? It's a clear show of how the music industry feeds us songs that pay for radio time. I've heard this God knows how often, and still love it. The video draws out emotions and sends a clear message that matches the lyrics of the song. Why this song or this video haven't won an award blows me away. But then again, I'm just a nobody. Please play this song in Concert Mar 22nd!
@certifiedpineappletree6708 Жыл бұрын
A little late to reply- but there were a couple factors to why this didn’t top every chart in Canada AND the US. The biggest one being their big US record deal they had went to shit when Cherrytree records run by Interscope (with alumni Lady GaGa, LMFAO and Ellie Goulding) shut down and cleared the offices. One Love was a minor hit, but everything else failed to do as well on the charts- the biggest surprise being Who Do You Love due to its streaming numbers and video view count. With that out of the way. Even IF this wasn’t the case, Marianas Trench had 15 top 40 Canadian radio hits leading up to this, so I’m assuming MT fatigue had set in for whoever’s in charge of adding songs to the radio stations. Even if the general public still wanted more :(

Watching this video always makes me smile. I always watch it when I'm sad, and so it is here I am today, the day my best friend an companion for 9 years, must leave me. Today is the day Lung Cancer finally got the best of my dog. And so I leave this comment here, to whoever finds it, to say that spend whatever time you have with your friends, family and pets as well. My dog should've had another 8 years on his life, but this came from nowhere, and now he's gone. Anything can happen at any time, and so you need to live life to the fullest. I have loved this band since high school. They are extremely talented and humble. They live a 'normal' life, and seem to be completely happy with it. They are just amazing. Id love to see them in concert one day. I'll never forget trying to hold my excitement, and not freak out when I ran into Josh at Crab Park in Vancouver. Our dogs touched noses. I'm not crying, your crying. We so rarely get to see the guys just being themselves. Sure, Josh doesn't make very many attempts to make his home life private, but to varying degrees, the other guys do. I feel like for once we got to see who they are when they aren't putting on faces for the camera, we finally got to see what life is like for them and what is important to them. Thank you Josh, Matt, Mike, and Ian for showing us what matters to you and how genuinely caring you all are of yourselves, eachother, and everybody else. Love, your fans.

This song has carried me through my last 5 years, roughly. My grandson at 1 yo would dance to my ring tone of this. 3 years ago this was about me loving myself after being bullied at work and unsuccessfully taking on the hierarchy, leaving my husband after 30 years. Today it's about me moving in with my grown son to help him emotionally and financially. Who do I love? Besides the obvious, my (3) kids and (2) grandchildren, I need to learn to love myself. Now after typing this, I've realised that it's "ME'" who I (should) love

Oh my god. My love for you guys just multiplied by like a thousand. Not a lot of bands would do this, and help out so many people. I realize that all of you have your own personal reasons for doing so, but it doesn't detract from the fact that you've just helped millions of people and animals. This is why you guys are my favorite band, not just because I love your music, but because you're all so amazing people. Please continue to be yourselves!

Also... Josh, I'm sorry you mom has LBD. That's one of the worst forms of dementia out there. As a gerontological nurse who specializes in dementia care, my heart goes out to you and your family ❤️ during this difficult time. Forget Me Not makes me cry every time I listen to it.

this was probably one of the best music videos that I have ever seen because it actually represents the meaning of a good song, it gives positives vibes, and it sends out a good message. i absolutely loved this!

Very inspiring video, guys! And we certainly agree - the message is more important than the budget. We'll try to always keep that in mind. Thank you for cheering me up today and inspiring us as musicians for all these years.
