Hello everyone, MT here with the usual trainspotting action! An busy late afternoon at Leicester railway station to get the last shots of the EMR HST’s before their retirement on 15th May 2021. I had to say that the trip was worth it because not just the HST’s but also getting my first shot of Class 73’s, with this duo operating a Network Rail test train. Other than that, I also captured several other freight and locomotive movements within the 75 minutes being there as well as the standard intercity and commuter services. Hope you all enjoy this, stay safe and pay your respects to the HST’s as they will be missed!

I read that HSTs are being reintroduced on routes affected by the Class 800 structural issues. The old workhorses are often the best!
