X-Men: The Last Stand officially turns 15 today! I remember seeing it with my older sister Memorial Day At the time it was the best one; loud, bombastic, entertaining, imaginative, visually stunning, fun, energetic, and has good dilemmas Love Kelsey Grammar as Beast and this whole idea of a so-called cure for mutants; the whole thing of homosapien vs homo-superior The Dark Phoenix stuff was a dark turn for Jean Grey despite it not following all the way from the source material Dad loved the Golden Gate Bridge sequence Glad Nostalgia Critic enjoyed it too; he says it was the most entertaining, action-packed, took the most risks, it was provocative, raises the stakes, asks the biggest questions even if the ending got worse pissing off so many fans killing key characters A lot fans hated what Brett Ratner did to the series But the movie does ask a lot of polarizing questions in terms of what if there was a cure to change people, make them look different, fit in with the general population to avoid persecution, desegregation, is it morally responsible or apprehensive? There are still great effects, makeup, ideas, and good character moments Strangely separate scenes by themselves have way more hits on KZbin these days So yeah it's entertaining but still considered by many a bad movie and one of the worst sequels to a franchise Actor Vinnie Jones recently regretted how mishandled Juggernaut was with his one line launching so many groans It's amazing too that Elliot Page who played Kitty Pryde has changed so much too admitting he's transgender and successfully having top surgery The movie at its core still fights against the various forms of prejudice like the comics

Hearing the cast speak highly of Brett Ratner makes me laugh, especially with how much of a POS he is 😂

I understand with Charles Xavier died by saving the X-Men Multiverse alien invasion We seen that in X-Men dark Phoenix we see me apocalypse Perfectly how to end the franchise but there's more many stories to tell for the X-Men Canon

Weird that Ratner and Singer switched movies. Even though Superman Returns had great moments and I liked Brandon Routh, I kind of wish Ratner and Singer stuck to their original projects. Singer’s X3 would’ve been better. And I wanted to see Ratner’s Superman mainly because he was considering Tom Welling
