Ain’t that something ! I’ve noticed that happens a lot that it seems like the child (which is usually the first) that seems to be good for the most part and maybe a few things the parents don’t necessarily agree with and not that they are bad they are way harsher on that one and trying to ‘correct’ but the outright rebel is usually left alone as they feel is a lost cause and are just grateful if they do even just the bare minimum.

My parents raised us differently, Both Dad and Mum loved cooking, chores had no gender , we all worked uniformly. My mum would say, I gave birth to children and not slaves. All my brothers cook well too.. interestingly, I hated cooking and since I was the last, I would go play football while others cooked and before it got to my turn, someone else volunteered. Cooking was taught to us all, as a basic survival skill. God bless my parents for their ideals, they are late now but they indeed raised us right and did their best in their own way.
