Will always be mind-blown and how BIG they sounded for a three piece!

When I first heard Israel’s Son, I thought the lead singer was a grown ass man. Turns out it was a little 15-year-old boy. But when Daniel is talking regularly, his voice is so soft and sweet.🥺😍 Even to this day. His vocals are unmatched.

Was born in 1979 too, i love nirvana, pearl jam, red hot, green day, weezer, offspring before they came along. A classmate in school told me there's an upcoming Aussie band and they really sound good and they're as young as us. At first I didn't believe it, then I bought a cassette tape in Odyssey and boy I was really impressed esp w/ Daniel John's voice (i thought it's a mix of eddie vedder and cobain's voice). I loved almost all the songs in Frogstomp and also thought they might not sound the same Live, but boy I was so wrong.. 😉 I became a big fan eversince but I only listened to them until Neon Ballroom album. I didn't like their sound afterwards. For me Frogstomp was still their best album. Glad to hear same fans of silverchair from all over the world.

Hearing any positive comments from a fellow Silverchair fan is really healing to me. Really do agree everything you just said here Israel. 'ppreciate it.Those 6 bands you mentioned are some of my favourites as well. Are you also a fan of Live, Toadies, Tool, Filter, Better Than Ezra, Blur, Jars of Clay, Tonic, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Alice in Chains, STP, Deftones, RATM, SOAD, Disturbed, Korn or Slipknot? Keep rockin' brother.🤘😉

@@IsraelVasquez I only got one song each. Time Bomb from Rancid and 21st Century Digital Boy from Bad Religion both I heard from the same rock FM station NU 107 Davao back in the mid 90s. But for those other two Mxpx and Bouncing Glory sound really unfamiliar to me. Thanks. Keep safe bro'.🤘😉

The time when they were still very much good-looking specially Daniel. His pretty face looked like a girl and was actually much prettier than many other girls. I first heard Tomorrow and Israel's Son and fell in love along with Pure Massacre, Faultline and Suicidal Dream when I was 15, and had no idea yet what they really looked like. Just heard them from Davao City's rock station NU 107 FM and one of NU 107 DJs said they were all teenagers. When I first saw them on KZbin and were only 15 in 1995, I thought we were born in the same year because in 1995 I was also 15 like them. As I tried googling about their birthdays they were all born in 1979 and I'm actually just a year younger than they are. Thanks so much for uploading. - Just a huge fan from the 🇵🇭, Philippines.👍🤘☺️

Hey! Can anyone tell me especially those with Aussie accent what Chris said? After saying " So, and Ben had bought a bass, I just bought that...?..?..?..." at 1:05 and "said I du know". It was a bit harder for me to get when Chris was the one talking because he was like eating his words. 😜😊🤘

I just completely love all of their work 😭, they’re truly amazing, geniuses, the change went through is just amazing, all of their five albums are great, I admire them a lot and hope I can do something as cool as them one day. I play guitar and bass, and I’m also trying to sing, and form a band, but I’m just too awkward with people and can’t really make new friends. I’ve tried composing songs and producing, with low investments, and I think I can get somewhere with that. I'm pretty late with all these band stuff, people in bands right now, as teens barely get any recognition, but that has been my dream since I was I don’t know, 8? I feel weird being a teen in between silverchair fans since most of them are around my dad's age, who is 46 now, and I’m 16, and it’s hard to find people with similar music taste as mine around my age, especially since I’m from Mexico (?), idk, but I think most silverchair fans are from Australia. I hope one day I can have the courage to look for people in a band or something, preferably before I’m an adult. Also, I’m planning to buy some of Daniel's guitar gear, or similar ones, I really like his gear… And yeah, I just came here to talk about something… My personal favorite albums from silverchair are Diorama and Neon Ballroom, and I just think it would’ve been awesome to see them live, specially around 2003, but I’m pretty late for that.

There are simply no words invented yet to properly describe just how tragic it really is seeing what Silverchair/Daniel mutated into. I suppose it was my fault for regarding them as amazing musicians. On their first 3 albums, I felt they were flawless and easily outshined their criminally overhyped contemporaries. I just worshipped Silverchair and fiercely defended them against ANY person that dared to insult them by comparing them to Nirvana. I never could have foreseen that I would become a hater myself when they absolutely blew my mind to atoms with soul-crushing disappointment when they shat YOUNG MODERN out into existence. Ever since that baffling disaster, every single thing this guy has done has just made me feel completely humiliated/disgusted to know that I once believed in Silverchair so strongly and (what I dreamed) would become their incredible future. I am just glad I had 9 phenomenal years of their true talent before they gleefully leaped into the toxic cesspool of complete and merciless suckage.
