Come by for a ride! Thank you, it’s crazy fast it’s grown
@espeescotty4 жыл бұрын
That would be sweet to go for a ride in that brute. About 2006 I had a big thrill just to be able to sit in an all tan Navy MTVR at the Blue Angels air show at MCAS Miramar. And good for you on the rapid growth on your challenge. You know your stuff and that appeals to many viewers and those seeking help. Grow baby grow! 😁👍 Thanks

Glad your doing a great job on your video work, but we have x4 of these winches on Unimogs that weigh in at average of 12,000 ish and this winch will barely pull out one of these trucks when kind of buried. We did x2 hydraulic 30,000lb Warn unit’s, one front 2nd midship for rear on our MTVR build Great ac tech, thank you!
@mtvrchannel30514 жыл бұрын
Jason Couch good info! I’m going to be using a bunch of snatch blocks and nearly 4000 CCA to back it up hopefully it’ll be efficient

I’ve always been a fan of the 5 ton, and still am. But the 7 ton is now on my #1 list. More advanced and modern. Thanks

The older trucks hold a special place in my heart but I do enjoy the modern convenience

You should check the cab shock absorber bushings, looks like they're gone. At least one on the left side... Great job, truck is looking good! 👌

New subscriber here, thanks for providing some good content on these Oshkosh trucks. Surprisingly hard to find good videos on these things, and what I’ve seen so far has been very informative. Do you have plans on converting to rear wheel steer at some point or are you happy with how it maneuvers as it sits?
@mtvrchannel30514 жыл бұрын
Thanks! And I’m actually pretty well pleased at how well it maneuvers and probably will not convert anytime soon

nice I want a seherpa winch for my truck (M934A2) did you wire right on to the batteries? I was wondering what the duty cycle would be like seeing as for my uses its mainly a self recovery option as I take this truck out more.
@mtvrchannel30514 жыл бұрын
Samuel Johnson we are talking nearly 30 seconds on and 10 minutes off for a duty cycle, it’ll go longer but you may burn it up. I wired straight to the batteries with 4/0 and going to now update and add a cutoff switch for it

Lol, we use those quick connectors on 8 thousand pound rated forklifts, nice though man, slowly been convincing the old lady to get a MTVR. Any tips on finding a good one?

Got a question for you since you have had the mtvr for a few years now. I have a customer with several of these trucks now, but having issue finding parts that are specific to these trucks. Where are you going or contacting about parts specific to the mtvrs, my search online hasn't been great?
@mtvrchannel3051 Жыл бұрын
Sadly it’s a challenge we all face, google searching and contacting Oshkosh direct is the key
@jacewitcher1046 Жыл бұрын

Does your cooling fan run with the pressure switch unplugged?
@mtvrchannel30514 жыл бұрын
Glenn Courtney if I activate “A/C pressure switch input” on CAT ET then yes, it’ll run 24/7
@glenncourtney48764 жыл бұрын
@@mtvrchannel3051 But the cooling fan won't come on when A/C pressure switch is plugged in and no CAT ET?
@mtvrchannel30514 жыл бұрын
Glenn Courtney when the ac input is disabled (factory setting on my truck before installing kit) fan never runs and will allow the entire refrigerant charge to blow out the pressure relief safety
@glenncourtney48764 жыл бұрын
@@mtvrchannel3051 Do you have an ECM pin out diagram? If not get one and make sure the input from the pressure switch is actually going to the correct pin on the ECM plug.
@simonburnby19977 ай бұрын
That plug will only be rated to 350 amp . And have burnt one out on a 12 thousand pound winch that stalled out

AC Cooling and rad fan . Could you just add an electric fan in front of the Condenser coil. and have the Binary run the elect fan. It would reduce the engine fan from robbing power and could be quieter
@mtvrchannel30514 жыл бұрын
sandpirateskn unfortunately no, the clearance between hood and condenser is about half an inch, in fact a space plate is installed on the grill to allow it to stay far enough away
