Not only that, she lived way below her means for years to save up and then purchased a foreclosure. I remember that inspiring me back in the day. Kandi is similar with saving and being frugal. They both own their homes outright due to being financially savvy.

@@Salma-yo6ns I disagree. I think she OVERPAID. These foreclosures are nothing but tear downs post 2011. The problem with foreclosures is that ever since 2011 the banks cross all their Ts and Is which means the property is left sitting vacant for several years with moisture intrusion, roof leaks, termite infestation, etc so that the bank can let the statute of limitations run out for any possible lawsuits or liens. There are NO cinder blocks at the foundation of Kenya's property and there was lots of rot and mold which is indicative of EIFs synthetic stucco construction! Synthetic stucco started in the states in Atlanta, GA in 1980 as a cheaper construction choice over hardcoat stucco. It resulted in thousands of lawsuits against builders by homeowners and tremendous loss in value to homeowners. Present day, the only people foolish enough to buy that type of construction is black people who either are not informed by their realtors or too stubborn to listen to sound advice from their realtors. The sad truth is that most synthetic stucco properties built between 1980 and 1999 are well past their expected life expectancy like surfside condo and many other eifs properties so you are essentially stuck with that house unless you sell at a steep loss. IMO Kenya's property is horrible construction, has the nerve to sit in a FEMA flood zone, and has the nerve to have a flat roof. It is labeled "uninsurable" to many insurance companies because most major insurance companies do not offer homeowners insurance for eifs construction houses built between 1980 and 1999 ie there is NO bones or foundation to the property
