I grew up poor but i was happy because my parents were very stable. My dad worked full time all of his life. My mom stayed home and made sure we were taken care of. We went to school every day. We didn’t have fancy clothes, didn’t eat out but we had stability at home. My parents cherished every single one of us

My parents also divorced when I was in middle school. My mother and father became irresponsible adults after the divorce but I did not let that be an excuse for my failures. Finish college. I know it is difficult without support but it is doable. Once you are done with college, you will land on a stable job. Help yourself first then you can help your other siblings. The problem of battered women syndrome is exactly described in this story. Women are being abused and refused to get help. Even when there are help, the victims refused the help. Will also blame others who offered help. The sad is this girl and her own older siblings are also victims of battered women syndrome, they are old enough to get help but they too refused to get help. This girl is blaming her mother but she she is as helpless as her mother. There are so many helps but they all refused to seek help. Even when school and social services attempted to help, they all lied so there wouldn't be help. She said she didn't have any help but this story had so many helps being offered and all were rejected by this girl and her mother and siblings. This is the reason why they call this a battered women syndrome, it is a disease. One call to the county and rhere will be all the government help. One call to father and he would come. One call to the relatives helped buying school supplies and she would come. This girl is blaming everyone but she refused to admit that she made many mistakes, such as having boyfriend over night where people allowed her to live with them. Again she is also victim of battered women syndrome.

I feel for your story and you having a devil mother but this is America, at one point, you have to woman up and take responsibility for your own life. Don’t do what your brother did and ignore everything and get in jail. I get the depression part but your choice to give up school to take care of your mom’s kid is your own doing, you were being lazy in school and used it as an excuse to get out of school. What are you going to do when your mother is dead? Who are you going to blame for your failures? If your bf was so great and you want to break the rule to go sleep with him so bad, why not just marry him? Sounds like he has a place and you need a place to sleep? Depression is real, i too had it before and it sucks so much that you don’t want to do anything but want to sit alone and cry everyday xwb os. No energy to do anything li os.
