The hidden history of Muay Thai & Muay Boran needs to be tuaght it's becoming forgotten. During Wai Kru onage to your teacher and Muay Ram boxers dance. You're also paying respect to the Angle Snake or Queen Snake know as the King Cobra & praying to Buddha before the flight in Thailand. You will notice the movement is similar to a Snake . A movement of the Angle Bird the Phoenix is also demonstrated. The warriors believed it freed the people from war and watch over there village. They believe the King Cobra is a gift that comes to warn you of danger bring you good fortune and fame it comes to protect you. The King Cobra is you in the art of Muay Thai where you learn to move and strike swiftly like a Cobra. After you have mastered the skill the spirit of the Snake becomes Human. Your Monakan & Parijuns are the spirit of the King Cobra coild around you they also represent you and the magic within the art of Muay Thai- Muay Boran . The story is taken from the "Garden Of Eden" during Adam and Eve when the snake came to them as a serpent. The King Cobra can also represent a sign of danger we're you are tempted in to your wrong doing that will bring bad luck upon your school , your teacher , family class mates the art and yourself. The King Cobra, Queen Snake, Angle Snake. Can be a symbol of good luck or bad luck depending on how you look at it.

The theppabut posture is for male, Theptida posture is for female. Most of the time male using Theptida for Wai Kru and most cultural attendance (male can use both versions if that make sense)
