It's cool that each person has at least one feign, combo or counter that you can tell the practice a lot and are quick and good at and really worked. Tempted to pick a few off these guys and practice them. Having more tool in the belt means your opponent won't know what to expect.

Round 6 guy gets an A+ from me, does he want a job? 😂. He has great composure and is super relaxed. He seems to be in it 100% for the duration. Proud of Round 8 guy, he gave his all and his training path is paying off. You can see the lessons and training points unfold! Brave guy, lets see an update on him in 6 months as I am guessing he has a bright future ahead of him.

For a long time now I don't spar anymore. I've ran into people too many times who try to cheap shot me when I'm being respectful and pulling my strikes to not hurt my partner, all the while they are just sizing me up to cheap shot me with a 100% power knockout blow when it's agreed its just a light spar. I'd make a exception for Jeff. I know I could have a good spar and not be hurt, of course he could hurt if he wanted too, but he knows not to treat a light spar that way. Keep up the good work.

Hello Jeff! Great vid as always. I sparred on friday, he started hitting me hard and I told him to hit me only as hard as he wants to get hit. He kept hitting me hard so I beat his ass, but that's not the point. The point is that I got hurt, i got a black eye and got kneed in the balls. After 1.5yeears of doing muay thai this was the first time I walked away from a sparring with injuries like this. My question / request is can you make a video on recovery? I want to do this sport for a long time but i'm afraid that my body won't be able to hold up. What is the secret to longevity in this sport? Thank you!

Just trying to be observant here, not actually a critic: 1st guy is solid, but overreliant on the jab and kick. Not enough setups and feints. 2nd guy's too stiff, reactive and not very coordinated but has perfected kick catches and dumps. 3rd guy is too relaxed, doesn't bother to guard his head. Hands down style may not be for him. But he's very coordinated. 4th guy is very much like the 3rd but a little more animated and a little less coordinated 5th guy just radiates strength and stability. Looks very formidable while only moderately technical 6th guy is clean, relaxed, coordinated. I like his style. 7th has a great command of combinations, very fluid. But distance management and reactions not quite there 8th is slick but not offensive enough, but when he turns on the aggression it's quite predatorial 9th is slick too, unorthodox, but not making the best use of his length

hey jeff quick question. been trying your double step lowkick recently in sparring and it has been working good but my coaches tell me that i shouldn't because when i step out to the side to lowkick it leaves me open to get low kicked myself. I also rely on head movement quite a bit but my coaches tell me not to duck in muay thai or kickboxing because it is dangerous and puts me at risk for head kicks or knees but i see you ducking and weaving all the time. any tips or thoughts on what my coaches say or what i should do?

How do you shrug off landing kicks on the elbow?? Looks like there were a few in that vid (though the foot/shin pads must cushion the impact). I really struggle when that happens to me in karate as when the pain settles in it makes me more likely to telegraph what I'm about to do, when I'm trying to stifle my hobbling about. Obviously prevention is best - through training to manoeuvre landing the kick (foot or shin) somewhere other than the elbow, but inevitably it does happen every now and then😅
@MMAShredded10 ай бұрын
try to kick the arm if their elbows are tight. You drain the arms so they cant punch and weakens their defense!
