This is how they ref in Thailand, I actually prefer this cause in the midst of my fight you get in a trance to feel em out and he reminds you to go for the kill. Might not be good for you but it’s part of it, they do the same at all the stadiums in Thailand

@@TTVBTW If you actually think they wouldn't have continued pushing the pace without the referee, then you weren't watching the fight. Likewise, I've watched hundreds of other fights where the referees don't do that and there's never a problem, the guys do battle because that's what they're there to do. Part of what they are scored on is their dominance and pressure. They already know that and they are warriors. They get in there and get it done. If the fight does stagnate then that's one thing, and the ref does say something if that's the case. But he was telling these dudes to fight while they were literally inches from each other about to throw a punch and that's obnoxious.

They weren't grappling, they were in a clinch and, depending on the rule set, the duration it's allowed to occur differs. That's about the only thing the ref did well in my opinion. He's overly involved at all other points of the fight. He's constantly stepping in and giving the hand signal to fight when they separate and are more a few inches out of range. He's definitely interfering with angle creation and messing up the fight.
