Depends what the fighter is trying to do. You can definitely land head kicks, rib or stomach kicks with the foot

@@Falcon11994 I feel the same when I first started my journey but after many years into Muay Thai and traveling to Thailand to learn from other teachers I found out that there is a section of your tendon and small muscle group right by where the foot and ankle connects and where the shin meets and what happens is over long periods of training/fighting it builds up strength and hardness there and with that extra length in your kick it can help give a knockout kick to the head or chin depending where it lands. Kiatmoo9 gym perfected their middle kick over the generation of fighters and they learned that it was an extra length in their kicks to help gather points or K.o. in the ring. There's so much more in our body parts that many don't realize that can be a weapon if it's trained correctly which is also illegal in the MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing or any combat sport world.
