Juniku ate too many shots on the way in, and stamp landed cleaner. Juniku was more aggressive, but at times it hurt her because she didn't utilize her reach. She also had her back closer to the ropes more often than Stamp which is part of the scoring criteria in MT. The dumps were really nice though. The decision could have went either way really, but I would have given it to Stamp based on damage, and percentage of power shots landed. She also missed a lot less. Plus she's the defending champ. Too close to give it to the challenger.

Juniku not only pressed the action, but she literally moved in one direction the entire fight: Forward! Even when she took damage, she immediately fired back and closed the distance relentlessly staying in the pocket and on the offensive until Stamp was visibly gassed. Then she kept that pace until the final bell. Muay Thai is judged using a 10 Point Must scoring system, right? If so, Alma Juniku absolutely won that fight. Definitively.

Pressing the action doesn't mean you are the winner or scoring the points, stamp landed shots that mattered just because you looked dominate doesn't mean you were..

I love Stamp, and will always be a huge fan of hers, but I love the sport, and I believe that rulings should empirically reflect the outcome of the fights. Why do judges always do that? Why do they give the benefit of the doubt to the known quantity? Stamp is awesome. Juniku broke even that fight if for no other reason than just always beating stamp to the punch. I thought these bouts were scored with points not memories? Now many of those punches were matched with each other but Stamp didn't land anywhere as many of them. If this were a boxing match Juniku would have won. If this were anyone else but Stamp, Juniku would have won. Meh what do I know. I wasn't there. But I do love watching Stamp fight. My god she is amazing. Juniku controlled this fight generally. end of line.

I see so many comments that Juniku won this fight and got robbed, absolutelly not - the hits count not the pressue forwards - just look at Juniku's 2 blue eyes. Stamp had more points and that is fact. I agree it was close and Stamp not dominated, but she clearly landed more hits, hence points. I looked the fight 2 times again and counted, okay I am not a judge but I trained MuayThai 2 years - so at least the rules I am aware off - Stam won, but was not at her best on this day. The fight was to much a boxing competition, don't know why Stamp not used her brilliant kicks, maybe it was the game plan of her team as Juniku has much longer legs, no idea why Stamp fought this way? Anyway the fight had been 4 years ago and Stamp went a long way - lost all her belts and fell into a big hole, but she came back stronger than ever.

Juniku controlled the ring for almost the entire fight, but Stamp slipped the majority of her strikes, and countered with combinations. Juniku looked to be in control of the position and pacing, but that's not how you score rounds. Strikes landed, Stamp won and it's not close.
