Who are we?
------
We are a young 'Swenglish' adventure family, that consists of Swedish Malin, English Tom, and babies Charlie & Isabella, who are half and half. We love all kinds of adventures, including travelling around Sweden and beyond in our self-built campervan called Sunny, we're currently travelling the warmer climates of southern Europe and are glad to be cancer-free, after a rough battle with colon cancer.

I have been with my partner for 12 years last month. We have lived together for 6. We are engaged but we can't be bothered getting married haha. It's just a piece of paper. If you're committed to each other, thats enough to stay together. Marriage isn't really a big deal these days!

Thank you for the positive video, esp. after the loss of your friend. Quite envious of how you are spending your time with your children, wished I had thought of it when mine were younger! I agree, memories and experiences mean so much more than materialistic items. As for Sunday dinner, my Norwegian husband makes some very good ones even with yorkshire puddings and Bisto (occasionaly with stuffing)! If you are anywhere near Strömstad or Värmland when you get back, let us know and we will make you a Sunday roast😊.

So good to see two ( well 4) of my favorite people. So glad that all is well and I bet you’re a bit sad to drive away from such beautiful sunshine and great weather to drive back into the colder climates. Charlie and Bella are such good children, well behaved. As they get older, they will have such great stories to share with their friends. Can’t wait to find out what surprise you have for Tom, Malin. Great update! Thanks. I feel the same about getting rid of most stuff out of the van but I’ve got a Toyota Hiace so much smaller than yours. I also have a ukulele so a lot smaller than a guitar. What’s a shower? 🤣 xxxx

Y’all don’t have to stop traveling when your children are school age since there are so many options for homeschooling or in your situation, vanschooling.

Homeschooling is not allowed in Sweden. In many countries, like in the Netherlands where I live, children are obligated to go to a proper school. To secure a proper education and get social contact with peers, which is very important.

I was going to say about home schooling too. Many people home (van) school their children and there is so much help and advice about it too. Most children who are home schooled do still get lots of contact with other children and adults.

Homeschooling isn’t really a thing in Europe. As a matter of fact, it’s illegal. We have a high standard for education.
