Hi Sophia! Thank you for being candid about the struggles behind Womn. It's been great to see how much you guys have grown since Proof. Just wanted to offer my input (not sure if it's helpful) on my experience with the brand. I haven't ordered any clothing from any of your Series collections, despite purchasing from the earlier seasons and from Proof. The price point of Womn is right for me, but I'm a working professional in my late 20s that spent 7 years in higher education to get to where I am. I don't think that that's probably the majority of audience, but it's certainly admirable to ask customers to pay the right price to ensure a fair and environmentally friendly manufacturing process. I just didn't gravitate towards the clothes from the series. A lot of them are low-cut, Cali-cool, casual type clothes, which I felt like I couldn't really wear in my position or couldn't think of places I would wear these clothes. I think there may be a disconnect between the person that can afford your clothes and the person that wants to wear this style of clothing. I think y'all come from a little bit of a bubble: Californians in the creative industries are willing to spend big on clothing and can wear low-cut, sexier styles year round, but I'm not sure that translates to the average viewer. The later series just seemed uninspired, with extremely basic shapes. I worry when you say that the Fall series is going to be focused on the stay-at-home, quarantine vibes because I'm really hesitant to fill my closet up with just comfy clothes. I already have comfortable clothes. I've been sitting in sweat pants every day for 6 months. I'm looking for fashion that makes me get excited about life. I also worry about the fit of the clothing. I'm super petite, and I always looked to you for fashion inspiration because we have similar statures. However, with the Womn clothing, a lot of it is oversized and being shown on a 5'10" model. The average US woman is 5'5", and with a large chunk of your audience being Asian, the average height has to be lower than that. I see you modeling the Womn clothes, but you're always posing in a way (standing on your toes, pulling a shirt to the side at the waist, moving around) which makes me think the clothes photograph well on you, but aren't actually flattering in real life. Really wanted to be honest and am truly wishing the best for you and Womn!

I feel the same way about this brand. I really like Sophia's style and wish womn reflected it more. Like the black dress she wore in this video. I'd grab it in a heartbeat. But being that it's her's and Weylie's brand i get that it has to match both of their styles. It was only until the last collection that I saw something I wanted. I really like the pants but being petite, I don't want to spend $100+ on a pair that I know is too long and pay more money to get it hemmed. Because Sophia is petite, I was hoping there'd be petite sizes. Also, I wish womn and other brands would provide more details on the fit of their clothes. Providing measurements is really helpful when you're trying to figure out if a piece will work for you.

I completely agree on how the styles of the clothes seem more targeted towards a specific people or demographic! as much as I would love to purchase something nothing in the recent series seems to have caught my eye or seem like something I could pair and wear year round, since where I live we have all the seasons and winter is the longest! Hopefully they can take some feedback we give and use it for any future series!

I think it’s important that womn is emphasizing slow fashion and I love everything that your brand stands for. I just don’t think the styles and your brand as an entirety are accessible for everyone. While your models are gorgeous, consumers are still only seeing what we’ve seen for decades. It would be great to see your pieces styled on all shapes, heights, genders, etc. (Lucy & Yak, another sustainable brand does a great job at this). I felt like the pieces in the later series really didn’t reflect anything special. As long time viewers of you and Weylie, I was hoping to see pieces that reflected both of your styles, boho, effortless and chic. Your first launch will always be my favourite, but unfortunately I couldn’t get my hands on anything cause shipping internationally is so expensive (I know a lot of small businesses can’t control this). Every week I looked forward to your new series, but found myself being disappointed because I felt like my body type was being excluded, and to be frank, a green t-shirt/tank isn’t something a lot of people will be excited about. I hope to see womn thrive as we need more sustainable options out there. I understand as a small business, hiring models of different sizes is an additional cost that isn’t always feasible. It would be great for womn to scale down and really focus on the pieces at hand. The price of sustainable clothes is always tricky because although it’s justifiable, a lot of people still can’t afford to spend 200+ on a jumpsuit. But I think pieces like the Jess top or the Flynn top are great because they are smaller scale items (so priced reasonably) but still sustainable so it can reach a larger audience. I assume your viewers are mainly folks in their early-mid twenties. It would be even great to see you produce everyday products like legit tote bags, face masks, more bandanas, etc. Anyways, I don’t mean any of this as hate and would love nothing more to see womn thrive. Running a business is extremely difficult and I’m just seeing it from a consumer perspective. I wish womn nothing but the best! x

Yes more accessories would be nice especially for people who want to support them, but can't spend so much on their clothing items. Also I saw a shirt on the site and in their videos, but everyone wearing it has a smaller chest and had no idea if it would fit me so I don't get a lot of their clothes because of that

@@staciii Exactly. We only know how the pieces will look on different body types when customers post about it. There is also a real big issue in making purposefully oversized clothing items and modeling them on slim figures. Sophia and Weylie, I really hope you take this feedback into consideration as it seems to be a common theme. Yes, we need sustainability, but we also need accessibility.

Selling tote bags is also a cute idea for womn but the life cycle of cotton tote bags will be needed to be used 7,100 times over before it meets the environmental impacts. Still given this it’s still also great promoting sustainable products to better and minimize our lives. It’s learning how to integrate all of the environmental impacts and taking what we know and closing the loop in the initial product design. I really love how the business is become made to order. It’s a bold step towards conscious fashion versus fast fashion. I think price is always going to be the decision maker in any product. Most of the people cannot afford to shop sustainably unless it’s really a quality product like Patagonia. It’s something that will need to be changed in sustainability as well as other social justice issues. These collective convos are great. I love how we are all just talking about these discussion on how we can all live better sustainably. Hope everyone is doing great and staying safe. Love you always Soph!

My main issue with womn is the lack of sizes with the clothes and models. I'm not plus size, but I do have hips and a bigger chest. There are so many items I didn't get because I have no idea how it'll look on a body like mine. Every model on the site is basically thin. I really want to support you guys, I just need more inclusivity

you are still building your brand. I'm sorry that it hasn't reached the level that business can go on without having special sale. However, if your sales number increases after your 65% sales, i hope you understand it could mean 3 things. 1. People are supporting 2. Maybe original price is too high 3. Ought to target specific ppl who are comfortable with their money I don't know how many of your viewers regularly buy clothes that are in the same price zone as womn. But my first impression about womn was, ' love the motto behind, but not so comfortable with price,,, sad I'm not able to help sophie. ' You can say I'm just a cheapskate. Because I'm not used to choosing "the right clothes" and paying "the right price", and also don't have enough budget for shopping clothes, makes it hard for me to purchase womn. But i promise I won't skip commercials for your videos tho!

Girl I used to work in e-commerce before and I love womn and the previous proof brand. I can tell you guys put a lot of heart and effort into them. and there's something that I want to share with you. they're pretty random so forgive me if there're no logics in them. 1. the style of womn targets a specific group of people. I can tell they're sooooo your style, which is no problem. but your audience size is kinda small, by nature, and by the fact of you two girls' followers. I mean, if each of you girls has 2 million subscribers on KZbin that'll be a different story. so the solution to this is to run ads. instagram ads, Facebook ads, google shopping ads. these three are must-try for you guys. and remember to do remarking ads too (for repeat purchases and abandon-cart recoveries). 2. im sure you know the price is relatively higher compared with many other casual and fast fashion clothes. even though there's a eco-friendly idea behind it, money is for real for most people, especially when economy is hit. so see if you can lower the price. the most common average order value is around $30. just to give you an idea. 3. you'll need to expand categories a bit. clothing is actually quite expensive, I mean , in terms of design, manufacturing, warehouse, inventory and delivery. so the profit margin is not as big as most people thought. but it's not the same story for sunglasses, eye lashes and wigs. these three categories are the most profitable ones. the cost is very very low compared with the selling price, making them a very lucrative business. (eye lashes are a good start for your girls in my opinion). 4. do collaboration. like serious collaboration like what you usually do in your videos. hire other influencers, small ones will do. 5. check your website to make sure the speed is great and the whole purchasing experience is smooth. all right these are just some random thoughts and hope you find them helpful. love you girl :p -- Sukie Gao

I was so excited for womn, loved seeing how happy you and Weylie were on your channels to talk about it and move sustainable fashion forward. Then I saw the prices. A tank top? Idk but those of us in our 20s want to be ditching fast fashion but price tags like these are not letting me... I've checked out every series and been unable to find something I can justify the pricetag personally. And some of the comments mention size which is also a huge factor for me. I'm not the tiniest but similar styles work for me, and loose is always good for weight hiding so please make em bigger ladies

Some constructive criticism that I hope is helpful - I know Womn is all about elevated basics, but the last 2 series have been so forgettable compared to Series I and II. I wouldn't say that it is mainly because of the pandemic that sales have slowed down - while the apparel industry struggled at the onset of the pandemic, apparel online sale are up 3.6% in July compared to last year. In Series III and IV, the items did not particularly catch my eye and I felt like I could get them anywhere. Maybe focus on wearable cuts for not just Californians but regular, working women across the country - more trousers, blouses, light jackets, a blazer, unique skirts and dresses like the Dillon dress (which stunned me, it was beautiful). The talent and the creative styling eye is there. But I think you need to re-evaluate the designs to focus on unique, different pieces that people would want to buy because they don't currently have something similar in their wardrobe. Wishing you the best!

I've watched both you and Weylie for years! Would love to support Womn but two factors stop me from ordering each collection. 1. The sizing is very small. The clothes are geared towards body types like yours and Weylie's - very naturally slim. Because of the cut of most items, I can't confidently order knowing my hourglass shape will fit or be flattered. The models used are also similar in body shape to you and the usual type of model everyone uses. I understand there's costs involved with having a more diverse set of models, but would really love to see more body types shown. 2. The price is understandable as you guys focus on a sustainable business model - which is admirable. But for that price, I'd need the items to be more unique and standout. Not saying it needs to be a ball gown or anything, but has at least a small design element that sets it apart from being a commonly found thin tank top. Hope this can be seen as constructive feedback!

I feel like womn caters you and your friends body type. It doesn’t cater to people outside the “medium” body size. I mean you can’t expect to get major sales if your market is super specific to skinny folks. You may have not intended that to happen, but that’s what is being shown and discourages people sizes 8+ to purchase.

Hi Sophia! I worked for big and small fashion companies in creative and strategic roles over the years so hopefully I could give some insight. To be honest there were so so many times I wanted to shop womn but I found I wasn’t a big fan of the series business model. While it is a cool idea, I felt it was too limited. A lot of pieces are super basic and personally I would love to see the cute pieces from womn’s initial launch come back. Something else I must point out is the price may be too high. I understand price includes overhead costs but I do hope the team at womn understand that pricing in the perspective of the consumer is a huge factor when it comes to the purchase point. Hope this helps!

I've been a customer since your very first drop. Ive been very excited for every drop since but to be honest, the series every 2 weeks was a little much for me. Especially since the pieces are relatively expensive, it was nice to be able to save up for a few months before I knew I was going to splurge again. But with Series, I couldn't justify spending for every one since I had already spent so much on Series 1. I think the monthly drops are much better- gives me time to save and a bit of breathing room.

Omg watching the footage of Robin and your conversation, just took me back to this Kdrama called ‘Reply 1988’. This drama focuses on a neighbourhood growing up during 88-89 and the family’s that live there. There is romance but star of the show is bonds and relationships they touch on, mother, father, siblings, friendship, in-laws, husband and wife... etc will make you cry then laugh as it is so relatable. Really made me appreciate and understand my family more. How we all have diff bonds with everyone but in the end the love is all the same. Defs recommend! There were a few items I wanted to purchase on the womn sale but it was sold out of my size xs. The sale fits within my budget atm. Honest view of the clothing’s look and price: it reminds me of aritzia’s clothes. But aritzia is a well established brand that have been around for a long time and when they have built that reputation and trust for a very long time, they can afford to price up their stuff gradually and still maintain audience. When I looked at womn, I think the price point is very similar to aritzia, but I’d gravitate towards buying from aritzia all the way, cuz realistically, the brand and trust. Looking at the original price of womn clothes, I don’t think I could justify buying any of them at that price point and most of the styles are rather plain. I don’t think a lot of ppl can afford it at original price tbh, like myself, I find the clearance price much more reasonable. Only once in a while I might buy an aritzia piece that I really like ($100+ jumpsuit etc), and I’m in my late 20s an office worker.

It’s called Wagon :) I own one of those and it’s super useful especially if you have a toddler. We also use it when we go to the beach .

Hahah u could use a bowl of hot water. Tilt the bottle cap portion submerge it in hot water for awhile like a min. Then use towel and open it. Its much easier that way.😄

Mother-in-law’s white kimchi is good! I don’t care for their red kimchi, but the white one is yum!

What kind of vacuum do you use to vacuum your house? My dogs shed so much and the vacuum I have is so bulky and big. Would like something like yours so I can’t get into small spaces!
