Ok Muchelle, you're just awesome. Your choice of inclusive stock footage just increased my respect for you even more. As a hijabi, I just feel so touched to see me represented. You're just the epitome of awesomeness.

This is one of those videos that are so good you just HAVE to take notes. I wrote it all down! Seriously, nobody else talks about this, Michelle really answers the REAL questions. How To Do Hard Things.

The breaking down big tasks into small tasks is genius and I realise I kind of do it subconsciously. Especially when Im washing the dishes lol. I'll break them down into categories. So instead of "i have to wash the dishes" its "im gonna wash the cutlery first, then the cups, then the plates etc." And before I know it, it's all done and it didn't feel as overwhelming because each set of dishes was a task that I had completed instead of the whole of the dish washing being the task.

As a recovered people-pleaser I always found it hard to do anything for me. Until I woke up one day to the reality that no-one ever bothered to do anything for me, so I stopped.

I absolutely love you talking about the tasks bursts! I love the pomodoro technique but when I'm feeling super down I procrastinate even starting a pomodoro, and doing five minute intervals and changing the tasks really helps me a lot. I never saw someone talking about this and it felt very validating! Also I really needed this video, thank you so much!

Thank you! Just found your channel! Your content is so Valuable and even More so for ADHD!!! Also called Executive Functions Deficit, meaning that all or even only one executive functions of the brain are in deficit. One of this functions is the ability to start a project. Because of the difficulty to switch from one task to another. Another is the overwhelm when doing multi steps projects to remember all the steps, and another the capacity to breakdown a project into actionable steps and organize them in order of priority. Thank you ❤

I've found this video so interesting. I've built up so much resistance. Especially after the same repetitive and inherently boring life I lead. After a while of living the exact same way that I've had no decision over, I have become resistant to it. I'll try sprinting my way through tasks again. I really wish meetings were a regular thing around here and could be had with listening, understanding, and no getting shut down. But I fear any attempt at a meeting to express current feelings would be a mistake. Nobody communicates around here and for good reason. It's so nice that you can have that level of communication.

As a new behavior technician, but a long time MuchelleB subscriber, I confirm this video! We chunk tasks into smaller tasks for the kiddos at work all the time. Why I haven't thought of doing this for myself, not sure why. Its amazing how many detailed steps you can get out of a simple task. Thank you Muchelle ❤.

So I have an issue with the working in 5 mintue bursts. I can't do that. I would never get anything complete. I already clean in a scratter brained mind. Picking somethingup and going to put it away only to find soemthing else that needs put away and so on. If I don't stayin one room on one task I end up pooped and nothing really to show for it. I make a list of the things I need to get done and then just pick at random. Once it's done it gets marked off, I take a bresk and thenpick the next one I want to get done.
