I love how they so perfectly sell the Time Loop gimmick at the start in a way I don't even know if they were trying to do. Musicals (and some other media too, but it's usually musicals) will often end with a medley/mashup that puts together all the songs from the production. This song is one of the *first* in the album, and yet is contains numerous references to songs that show up later (If I am correct, all Tally Hall songs referenced in this are ones that are covered later in CCCC [except Time Machine that one came before this one]). Why's it at the start and not the end? Simple. The album is a loop. There start and the end are the exact same point. It's why the album starts on a reprise despite it being the *very first song* meaning it had nothing before it to reprise, because it's a loop. It's all happened before.
