I watch these videos every morning with my coffee. I am 66 and will be 67 in June and I’m still young!! I would love to come over and help but I cannot because I have little money. Just know I love watching these beautiful animals and even more when a new elephant arrives at the park how all the others come running to greet them. God bless all of you who rescue these great giants from cruel and evil treatment they receive.

I couldn't stop bawling when I watched first elephant story about 35 years ago. Since then, I have been following elephant stories and do whatever I can to help those poor gentle giants. It always make me cry when I think of their tragic past.

You see the best and worst of human beings here. The cruelty of those who mistreat and torture just for financial gain and the kindness of those who care for them and try to ensure they live as happy a life as possible given their tragic past. How I love heffalumps! They are so gracious, majestic and gentle. Not sure I could say that about many human beings!

the african park should be this way but they are wild elephant at the african park. The thing i don't like is the tourist truck are too many and too close. they should created an upper electric mini rail high above 30 feet around the limit of the park with some stops at certains areas to watch from a far as not to disturb. So many accidents happens in that park when a bull or elder female attacks the vehicules with tourists in it.

Thanks for the question Stephanie! I went to the Highlands, which is a newly acquired area. It does not include a visit to the sanctuary itself, yet it is zero crowded, no other visitors than the group you're with, and it was well worth the additional dollars. I highly recommend that tour!

How can we help the elephants that get abused
@witty_net5 жыл бұрын
Don't support any of those shows using elephants. They abuse elephants. Discourage your friends to visit those kinds of shows, but go to sanctuaries that save and care for elephants.
@madden80214 жыл бұрын
Don't go to any circuses that have REAL animals in their line up, don't go to fake sanctuaries that offer forced rides, circus tricks, and even paintings and don't trust people that beg on the streets with a wild animal either. Go to a real sanctuary like Elephant Nature Park in Tailand, David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Orphanage in Kenya, PAWS - Performing Welfare Animal Society in California and I know you can't go to the actual home area for the Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee "unless wanting to volunteer" But they do have a Discovery Center in Hohenwald or you can watch them online through the Elecams.

Why do you treat the elephants as pets??? !!! They are broken to be "gentle" Let wild animals be wild and get yourself a teddy bear if you want a cuddle
@kathrinhildepeters6 ай бұрын
Hi Primateria, thanks for your comment. Not sure you've actually watched the video? Then you would know that this is not about cuddles. Elephants are gentle creatures before they are even broken and abused. That's what makes this all even more heartbreaking.
@primateriawiberg29986 ай бұрын
The elephants should not be exposed to different people constantly touching them, except for medical care. And I saw enough: humans in the water together with elephants Im surprised that this video seemed to be filmed at ENP
@primateriawiberg29986 ай бұрын
@@kathrinhildepetersthe video was more about you than the elephants
@kathrinhildepeters6 ай бұрын
@@primateriawiberg2998 🤣 Well, that's a whole new point there. Sounds like you're trying to find something you can dislike. 😉No worries, I'm sure you'll find other creators you like better. Or maybe, try making a video yourself sometime. It's harder than you might think.
@primateriawiberg29986 ай бұрын
@@kathrinhildepeters I was very surprised that you could have physical interactions with the elephants, it is not how it works now and for me, even if you are "kind" to them, it is still an exposure which is unnecessary and not natural for them. And yes, I think the elephants are the ones that should be the stars, not the humans bathing with them..
