The amp switch out is something I've been demanding from all the smaller builders I know for ages, and none of them are biting. The only flaw I see in this case is that you should be able to set the polarity with a toggle switch - to decide whether it's open or closed when the pedal is on (ie to determine which channel the pedal is applied to).
@colinandrews8504 жыл бұрын

I love the WGS Veteran 30 speakers. About 4 years ago, I put one in my old 1996 Marshall Valvestate VS100R 1x12 combo amp, and it made a HUGE difference in how tight the sound got, compared to the old original Marshall Gold Back speaker. I'm the original owner of that amp, and it's been a good one. I liked them so much, that I thought about putting 4 of them in my Blackstar S1 412 Pro cab, but back when I bought my first one they were only $60 each, but now that the price has gone up to $120 each, I'm considering putting in HESU Demon speakers. Any thoughts on those HESU speakers Glen? I'd love to see a video comparing them with the same tracks back-to-back. 🤘🏻

Hey Glenn! I have a question for you. I usually do metal or rock music (bedroom musician/reaper/laptop). The problem is that I only have a Strat with all single coils. The thing about tutorials on KZbin is that they all talk about mud being in the low mids (around 300Hz region) like you mentioned but I always feel like my tone is thin right out the bat (i'm guessing that's because I'm on single coils). I find myself usually cutting somewhere from 500-700Hz instead (sounds like a low whistling sound you'd get when you blow into an empty glass bottle) and doing a wide boost around 100-300Hz for some girth (haha.. girth). I know you can't tell until you hear it yourself but...still... What's your opinion? Am I headed in the right direction with my Strat? Cheers. Love from Nagaland. Also, fuck you Glenn. (Am I allowed to say that nowadays? 💁🏻♂️) Oh and sorry. English isn't my first language and I can't summarize.
@idontcare_wtf4 жыл бұрын
A strat is great for what it is, but maybe a guitar with some humbuckers will step up your game in regards of chugginess
@krokovay.marcell4 жыл бұрын
You will need a humbucker for your satisfaction. Or two single coils wired in series. (Tons and tons of wiring diagrams can be found online) Then boost your signal before the distortion, it‘s a whole new color, so then you can rethink your eq.
