I dig Rob's Vox guitar-mandolin! Mud should have had a big hit with this song. There was a lot more to them than glam-rock.

Malgré mon signalement il y a un an, le crédit de la date de cette chanson demeure 1977 ce qui est absurde, puisque la chanteuseSheila en 1976 en proposa une adaptation en français sous le tire "flagrant délit de tendresse" dans l'album "L'amour qui brûle en moi". Quand on connaît les délais à l'époque entre l'écriture d'une chanson et son adaptation c'est stupide de continuer à prétendre que MUD a composé "slow talking boy" en 1977 (

Sadly, they'd been pigeonholed as a glam band - hence their post-Chinnichap attempts to broaden their range confused, and eventually alienated, their audience. This John Kongos composition, though lyrically weak, is one of their better recordings musically; the use of mando-guitar suggests it may have been made with one eye on Gallagher & Lyle's demographic.

@@goldheartbadge Bit harsh to call it 'Lyrically weak'.....90% of 'pop' songs aren't exactly strong on the lyrical front. This one is pretty cool.
