Great video! I bought the same mud flaps from Amazon for $10.99 & they work like a million dollars! I hit every mud puddle I could find & my tail lights were still clean afterwards! Great Idea!

Simple, elegant, and effective! Some times you have to wonder what engineers are thinking...er...not thinking in this case when they designed the rear of the mav trail...lol.

As is usually the case, sales/marketing and accounting usually have the final say over engineering departments!

Great idea. Yea there are fender flairs available, but they add width to the machine. The point of the 50" sxs is to get through 50" gates. I originally had fender flairs from Can-Am. We were in Idaho on a 50" trail and came to the gate only to find we were to wide. Had to remove the flairs to get through the gate. I will take a look at the flaps from O'Reilly as an option. The idea is to keep mud a gunk from covering the rear lights. Have you done anything about the big holes in the front wheel wells? Just curious.

You can make your own fender flares with some high quality lawn edging. Cut it to fit, and screw it on.

I did the exact same thing to my MT. Works good! But now Can Am has fender flares with the rear mud flap extensions that will do the same thing. Now, have you found a company that sells floor mats for the MT? I cut some outdoor carpet to fit in my MT until I can find factory ones.

I do like the Can Am flares and rear extension, but I know of a gal that put the rear extensions on and they didn't block much mud. They just don't stick back far enough. I like the looks of them, but for the price I prefer the $13 mud flap. I've never seen floor mats, but they would be nice to have. I've seen guys cut a piece of that "Bed Rug" stuff to fit down there. That's a good idea, but I think that stuff is kind of expensive. It's like carpet with a foam backing.

Oh, good to know on the Can Am flaps. Thanks for the quick response. And keep up the great videos. I enjoy them, maybe because I have the very same UTV

Just buy some cheap rubber floor mats at WallyWorld and cut them to fit in the MT. They cut easily with a utility knife.

Do you think the Maverick sport would be much harder to get through trails being a 60”? Are most trails you ride wide enough for 60? That it would make or break your decision 50 vs 60?
@MyATVlife6 жыл бұрын
+schumif1champ where I ride the majority of the trails are over 60 inches, but all of my favorite trails are 50 inch trails... that's the number one reason I bought a 50 inch machine is so that I can go on any trail.

I couldn’t make out the manufacture name for these mud flaps. If the name it would be helpful. Thanks
