Another fantastic video 👍. I'm going to have to investigate in the river near me. There was a dump next to the river (alas part of it now concreted over for the motorway) that my friends and I used to play and investigate there in the 1960s.........there wasn't as much filthy rubbish then because most people burnt rubbish on their coal fires. We probably saw loads of fantastic bottles then, but as children probably the only ones that we kept, were those that you took back to the shop and got money for them😂😂😂😂😂. I do remember some of the lads looking at adult magazines that they found 😂
@LetsgowithTheJohnsons5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Annie :) That sounds like an interesting river to mudlark in! Yes, I remember us burning moast of the rubbish on the fire. Ah yes, it was always quite a find to discover a Corona bottle in a hedge somewhere, cash it in and buy some sweets :D

'Shout if you see anything'. Well Caroline I think it would make an interesting video if you could hear the comments of one or two viewers while you were actually out larking. Then we could shout out, "Behind You", & other appropriate things when we spot prize finds.
@LetsgowithTheJohnsons5 жыл бұрын
That would be great fun :) One day I may get good enough internet access while out and about to do a live lark. That way, you could all type 'Behind you' instead :D

Hi, I was fishing on the Taff and I found a brick with J.O.E stamped on it. I had to take it home because that’s my name I was wondering if you could shed some light on it’s history. Regards
@LetsgowithTheJohnsons Жыл бұрын
What a great brick to find! My research has only come up with St Joe Bricks which are in the USA, but there is one possibility, and that's a company founded in 1856 at Trefynant, Cefn-mawr which was called J C Edwards & Co Ltd. The reason I mention this is because I noticed that some of the brick pictures on the internet did look as if they read JOE, but it was actually JCE... But if the one you have is definitely an 'O' not a 'C' we'll have to keep on looking 👀 All the best 😎🐼🙂🐼

At 14.45. Little childrens plate, i Think its a Villeroy & Boch, if you Google : villeroy & borc, musselmalet dukkestel... it sais its from about the 1900. Dont worry the names i Google are Danish, but you Will be able to understand the facts. I googled villeroy & borc, Dresden blue, but many different came up. The reason why i Think its such a pattern, is that in Denmark almost all People know or have musselmalet, from Royal Copenhagen, and i thought it was such a plate, but in childrens platter it seems its villeroy boch who made it, and there is a slight difference in their patterns. Hope you dont mind my bad english... huge hug from me 🌸🗝
