Such great finds . I agree with all the other comments that we enjoy the way you take us from the fragment to the cleaned piece and what a complete piece would have looked like. All that and a Georgian coin!!

I really enjoyed this video. One thing I especially like is when you find a pottery shard, you show a picture of what the item would have looked intact. If you and Nicola at Tideline Art could get together and do a combined video it would be truly spectacular. Thanks for the video. I shall be awaiting the 2nd part eagerly

I, too, really enjoy seeing the whole object that the pieces you find represent. It gives the pieces a life of their own, and helps their history come alive. Very nice job!

Thank you again, Richard! Always educational. I especially liked, after you found the shrapnel, your mini-tribute to the coast watchers and those who defended the Isles from the Hun. every time I see your videos, I look at my Thames Foreshore Permit and get excited about coming over. October can't come too soon!

Thanks Tim, I still meet people with memories from those days. One of my volunteers today talked about the sound of a V1 going over our home town.

I think also, it would be good if you and Nicola done a video together. Also perhaps your moniker should be something like- Richard Hemery mudlark potter, or something like. Can't believe how quick that 19 minutes went

A really interesting pottery video - thank you. But aren't you ever tempted to wear gloves when you mudlark? I noticed you'd got a cut finger at one point and the Thames water must have some nasties in it!

You are so right, I only noticed the blood when I was videoing and I was annoyed with myself - Limes disease from rat wee and raw sewage all around!! I washed very thoroughly when I got home!

Enjoyed that but why not full screen? I know I'm not the only one who hates vertical phone shots but here it didn't intrude too much. Looking forward to part 2.

Thanks Richard. What about the visible screen size. It's just coming up as a pane in the middle of the screen with a huge black border. I watch on a 23" screen on my PC but anyone using a tablet, or worse, a phone, will lose a lot and maybe lose interest too.
@richardhemery69165 жыл бұрын
@@delukxy Yes, good point, I'm not sure how to fix that, I suppose video editing will help.

I think Nicola had the same problem a while back but she's sorted it now. It maybe the size selection when you upload to YT?
