So much to love in this episode. The cute little bottles, the adorable, cute little dwt of a perfume bottle (dwt; Welsh for tiny-rhymes with ‘put’), lovely milk glass-there’s something so appealing about milk glass, I can’t resist it. The blue in that ginormous milk of magnesia bottle is incredible. The incomplete plaque type metal object is interesting, definitely an Art Deco piece I would say. The mudlarking in the brook is my absolute favourite. It’s very soothing and so much stuff to be found. I often watch these while going to sleep, then have to watch it again to see what I missed!

My first thought on the mystery metal scene, was a crumb catcher/dust pan…the scene is definitely the Chicago World’s Fair (1933-ish)…I recognized it from when I was researching a mystery metal scene myself! If they had taught history with mudlarking and beachcombing, I’d have gotten better grades 😂 I’ve definitely learned more about my hometown in the past year, from random things I’ve found, than I expected to! Lol and, I agree, it’s totally therapeutic! I’ve yet to figure out my metal detector, but there is so much metal on our beach (vintage landfill) that it’s really not worth it to bring it…I tried it out at an old picnic area once and just found nails lol my kids weren’t impressed 😂 one of these days 😂
