What would cause the drill bit to be difficult to turn and take double the time to get through the main? I used this tool on the first tap by hand and it went smoothly. The second time I encounted this problem.

Why did we add water and why do you place the machine at different angles?

Water is added to the B101 chamber prior to the cut to help reduce heat. The B-101 is attached to the main at different angles based on the City requirements.

Adding water also prevents the water from the main rushing into the unit and swirling the tap shavings around potentially plugging up the relief valve.

Great Video, for a dry tap do I need the tapping machine to screw in the corp on the pipe or can I screw the corp on by hand/wrench? Thanks

When performing a dry tap with the B-101, the corporation stop can be threaded in by hand after the threads are in the main.
