I think if Dragoon were to perish and emergency surgery were to take place Red Mantle would have a relatively high chance of survival and recovery, however I don't believe the same if it were Red Mantle to die first, being as they're sharing Red Mantle's body. Red Mantle was pretty accurate at calling him akin to a tumor, Dragoon is basically a sentient outspoken tumor at this point, albeit a hilarious one.
