If the muffler delete is too noisy, you could do a resonator delete and keep the muffler intact. Should give you a little more sound, nothing too crazy

Kinda. The muffler reduces all car sounds at all RPMs but the resonator works at low RPMs to reduce droning. You can also get sports mufflers which are designed to get that specific racey tone

Help needed! Just bought a brand new a class a200 petrol and want a better sound - some people have said muffler delete some have said resonator delete and as a complete newb I have no idea which to do as like you say in you video the drone gets a bit annoying on long journeys which I do a 300+ mile journey twice a month. Been told as it’s a new car there are no aftermarket exhausts available yet and as the car just cost me over £30k (every penny I had in the bank and credit cards lol) I’m on a seriously low budget to make it sound better - not looking for a45 sound just nicer then the absolute silent stock exhaust. Subbed a couple days ago as I just got a 15 two door gti, not the performance pack but still am seriously impressed with how this car handles and takes tight turns for a fwd car. Not to mention it's alot quicker then I expected coming from a 2006 Volvo s60R. Muffler delete, LED headlights, then once Im used to the car stage 1.5 eurodyne tune are the only mods I plan on doing besides small/cheap cosmetic stuff. Keep the vids coming, I'll be doing some car stuff too once I get things going

Just put some remotely controlled exhaust cut out so that when you want to drive your car like a race car you can have the noise that you want and if you just want to drive chillin you can shut the cut out off and it would be silent like it used to.

Mufflers do not affect MPG, O2 sensor, fuel and air ratio, or even emissions. Unless you take off resonator then it will affect your car!

The only reason fuel consumption goes down is because you are speeding more due to the amazing sound. It's not because you removed the muffler its self. And as far as emissions it's not affected unless you remove the catalytic converter. The resonator and muffler are strictly for sound reduction.

Lol all 'straight pipe' means is that a certain length of the exhaust is an aftermarket straight pipe. A full 'straight pipe exhaust system' which you are confusing this muffler delete with is literally a straight piece of piping from the engine to the back of the car. This guy has put a straight pipe in the place of a muffler. It's attached to the stock piping which still has a catalytic converter/resonator if his car has one

No, thats your oxygen sensors in your catalytic converter, or the one in your exhaust manifold, but the O2 sensor in the catalytic converter simply is for emissions, no engine damage

Actually, because the muffler isn’t there, it’s easier for the engine to push out the exhaust; giving the engine more horsepower. At least that’s what I think. However, it could effect your gas mileage because when your at a stop, you always get that feeling of wanting to gun it so you can hear how beautiful it sounds which ends up eating so much gas.

I bought a 2010 Hyundai Genesis 3.8l v6 with a muffler delete. I fucking love it.. I love being that girl with the loud ass car. But honestly my heart is broken. Because I have to put a muffler on my car😭😭 in Delaware you apparently can’t have straight pipe.. and you must have a muffler😭 I was pulled over a few weeks ago and got into this huge argument with this cop about how my car doesn’t go over the max decibel which is 96.5 decibels between 2500/3000 rpms.. (which yes I can of course make it much louder than 96.5) but out of respect for the neighbors I try not to rev it and be crazy loud when coming and going from the development.. Only wen I get out the development do I rev it and even then I really don’t and granted it gets a lil loud but technically it doesn’t go over 96.5 decibels at the dmv test. But it’s straight pipe😭😭 so im beat basically I guess.. I’m so sad this car is my baby and the thought of her sounding different honestly makes me wana cry and I kno that sounds stupid cuz it’s just a car.. but she’s my baby and I feel like my hands are tied on this and there’s nothing I can do about it😢 my car still has the delete at this moment but my ticket is due on the 11th so I gotta get it in the shop before then and get the muffler on before then so I can take it to court and the cop said he’d drop it.

scavenging is good, but you can make more horsepower by increasing exhaust velocity, which helps scavenging. but you could only make more power with a less restrictive intake, because when you increase air flow on one end, you should increase air flow on the other

Amen! Practically said the same thing and then read your comment. I have an Audi S4 with a 4.2 L V8 that already sounds amazing with mufflers. I'm going to have them removed because to me, muffler deletes are ONLY legit on cars with a V8. I'm not knocking 4 or 6 cyl vehicles either. But when it comes to the muffler delete, the only car I personally want to have sounding LOUD is a V8. With 4 and 6 cylinder vehicles a muffler delete makes them sound *buzzy.* With a V8 muffler delete it's like you just woke up a monster 🤣👌

RC CARS NATION some counties in Texas only care if you straight pipe a diesel removing the DEF system (mainly in dallas, houston, and austin from what i’ve researched). If you’re driving a gasser they don’t really care as much

ChrisChan Miyamizu hey Chris, it’s legal in California. I had it done on my E93 BMW 335i about two years ago. The muffler just quiets your car. It has nothing to do with emissions. (Speaking strictly about muffler delete). However, I’m going to put my stock mufflers back on because of droning and I like to be able to hear music and have conversations while driving. Sounds nice from the outside, but kinda annoying when you’re driving. Oh yeah, I live in SJ and passed smog without any comment being made about the muffler delete. You’re good to go if you want to do it. Totally legal.

@@johnhovhannisyan7291 My shit isnt super loud thats why bec I put on another res, but it still stinks hella bad. When ever I see a cop, I drop rpms so its nearly quiet. I do get eyeballed by cops from time to time I've yet to gotten pulled over. The only cop interaction I've had since going catless was during a DUI checkpoint in which I shut my car off quick so they wouldnt smell the car. Check my channel if you wanna hear my UEL headers on my civic, sounds like subi. On the other hand my homie went full straight pipe on his 2.5 altima 2014, loudest fking car Ive ever heard in my life. He got pulled over and state reffed two days later. He had to get it smogged at the ref, he failed twice but then passed after putting his stock header and intake back in. Went to court, showed them the paper work on passing and got off with only having to pay court fees of about 30 bucks and the smog ref 14, 7 each time he failed. The court judge didnt even know wut his ticket was they had to check the law book lol.

Say what you want--but I did a muffler deete on a 2020 Stinger--have vids on here into quad tips and it sounded deep and great.BTW after 5k Rpm it sounded like the older lambo 10 cylinders from early 2000s.These have to be done right and any car can sound good.The tips and exhaust should ALWAYS be welded to the undercarriage of the car--that way it can not move and keep the resonators on--it will give you a deep rumble and then a nice scream above 5k if you do it this way.You also need some nice tips and not the super wide ones--get the size of your car--an engineers from ganassi racing told me the pipe diameter alone without a muffler actually has the perfect backpressure because the pipe alone creates some--the min bacpresssure to gain the most HP.try breathing out a straw and you can see that even if you delete a muffler you still have backpressure but it s a perfect amount and resonator keeps the resonate soundwaves in check--you remove that and you get the drone and horrible rasp after 5k instead of the nice race car scream.
