Just found this band to find out the vocalist has passed away. It's tragic to hear, but at least she left us with a catalogue of good old fashioned punk rock. Here's to you, Kim. Wherever you are out there, you just gained a new fan. RIP.

i was so lucky to have toured with the Muffs on their Blonde and Blonder tour in the mid 90's. Keeping Ronnie and Kim from fighting was nearly impossible, but goddam they could put on a show. Never forget 7th Street Entry show in Minneapolis. Roy's drumming stole the show and we were all fixed on his playing that night! we all miss you Kim (thanks for flashing me in the hotel hallway, you're such a hottie)!

Kim produced an all chick band called the Halo Friendlies I picked up the CD when I worked at Tower Records. Little did I know I’d play in a band with their drummer. RIP Kim you were unique, talented, and one gifted individual. Pretty sure the blonde is supposed to be Courtney Love since she would leave Kim rambling voice messages- one is on the muffs CD “Hamburger”.

I am, at this moment, getting ready to send a msg to her cousin saying the very same thing. Just the other day, right after reading a condolence message someone had written to him, my 16-year-old son came in the living room and said, "Can I listen to a song?" I winced when he said he wanted to hear "Kids in America" as my mind went straight to the Kim Wilde version of my era. But he said he wanted to hear the Muffs' cover of it. Soon, we were rockin out with Kim and it totally reoriented the blah day I was having to that point. All this to illustrate that Kim's music is STILL being discovered by cool kids and energizing their cool parents, who enjoyed The Muffs in their heyday!
