sayin something is complex and understanding it are different things. A chartered accounts person even after passing and working in the field always says that CA is complex, it doesn't mean he doesn't understand. What muftisahab means is that there no visible need for it, like if I had to send 1000 dollars to US I can send withing few clicks and they are done and a bank has a track for it in case if something happens, and if I'm not doing something illegal why do I need to hide it from bank or govt. ?

As per basic Economics , Currencies are issued by a reliable authority, such as Central/State Bank of the State, which is responsible for it's issuance n provide Guarantee about it. As Bitcoin or other such currencies, are not legally monitored by any Authority, such currencies are spread over by few organisations, which do not have any authority to do such issuance, n no body can have any claim if server is down some day n it has also features of gambling as well. Such Digital currencies are just example , that a person starts to print his own currencies notes. If Any digital currency, which is issued by any State/Government offically , is normal same as paper currency, as State has it's responsibility. Guess in future, many countries may go for it, but it does not have any match with bitcoin etc.

Haram hai because crypto involves extreme speculation and extreme risk. Moreover, it isn’t accepted as a currency by any country or state bank nor is backed by any government of any country. Therefore haram. I advise to stay away from things on which majority islamic scholars have the opinion that it is haram.

who is watching this in 2020. current value of btc is 13000 USD. Totally fair game based on demand and supply furthermore no government owns it. it is decentralized and every transaction is signed by many miners. Miners used electricity and mining power in this way it is creating halal jobs in power and technology sector. Websites are building, developers getting new jobs. It is our regulations and authorities that they don't want to adapt this system because it crypto will become much more powerful than the paper money. Many years ago the loudspeakers was haram then television and radio was haram then movie making haram then Internet was haram but now everything is halal. Why???
